The Coachman of Death 2 Years, 6 Months ago
I absolutely love how even really small portions built with Dwarven Forge enhance the atmosphere and the fun in a big "non-DF" setup. On last Sundays game night we just had a few DF pieces on the table (2 Ruins Sets and a few pieces from the Narrow Passage Set) but it wouldn't have been the same without them. :)

Fantastic! An you are certainly right Kronos - those DF ruins pieces really make the set-up! (or course those incredibly painted undead minis do a great job too! Who makes the Coachman?)

Thank you Shadbelly and Harneloot! :)

Who makes that mausoleum and the small crypts?
The mausoleum is the Cemetery Chapel from Ziterdes
The small crypts are the Tombs of Darkness, also from from Ziterdes.

those DF ruins pieces really make the set-up!
Indeed they do! I love the ruins set! It's one of those sets that is so versatile there's always something new to discover. Absolutely fantastic!

(or course those incredibly painted undead minis do a great job too!
Thank you very much! I'm very happy you like them. :)

Who makes the Coachman?
The Coachman is the Vampire Counts Corpse Cart from Games Workshop.

Kronos,

Great looking enviroment, How do you stick the skull sconces on the walls in PIC 8 and 9 ?.
And tell me,did your undead attack the party all at once, from all sides of the graveyard?. or did they get attacked as they moved thru it ?

Thank you rydendragons! :)

They are glued with superglue. But I wouldn't do that anymore. Now I would use magnets to hold them there and to get more possibilities for versatility.

And tell me,did your undead attack the party all at once, from all sides of the graveyard?. or did they get attacked as they moved thru it ?
The party was attacked by all the undead shown in one great battle from all sites as they moved towards the Coachman. They did attack all at once but not as in all "at the same time" since some of them did come from the edge of the playing field and needed a few rounds to get to the party. Other were summoned (like the wraith with the scythe) towards the end of the battle when most of the zombies and ghosts were already slain. So in a way the attacked all at once but also in waves throughout an 5 to 6 hours (real-time not game-time) non-stop ongoing encounter. :)

I love the set up the ruins set is so awesome! As to the encounter your a DM after my own heart. I love staged encounters with waves of combatants. It gives you so much extra you can add to a fight and play with a battles tempo ! I love it for another reason. In 4E I found often players would see the encounter and let it rip with their big guns. With my playstly at the helm they always as they put it. " wait for the other ball to drop," nothing suscks more when you bust your dailies and you still have 5 more rounds of stuff about to show up.

Great setup! I like the "sparse" use of the Ruins set to give it the correct feel...

What kind of grassy mat are you using there with the squares?

I never played 4E but using all the goodies before the game is over always really sucked. I had this problem before I made my own set of game rules based on a mixture of 3.5, Pathfinder and 20 years of gaming experience. Now I'm pretty pleased with the new flow of the game. :)

I'm a Game Master since I am 12 years old which means I'm telling stories as a hobby for 21 years now. I always have a pretty clear vision of how a setting looks in my mind. Then I just recreate it with everything that is at hand.

That is the Earth Green Felt Game Mat with a 1 inch grid from Hotz ArtWorks.
