WorldWorks Games streets with DF 3 Years, 2 Months ago
I know someone posted pics of the roofs that come in their building set a little while ago, so I thought I would show a DF town made using the street tiles. Overall, I am very pleased with their compatability. I am also quite satisfied with the resulting town.

Pretty neat looking. WorldWorks is quite attractive for 2D scenery.

How thick are those street sheets? They look like thick card-stock ala WoTC Dungeon Tiles line...

Yeah, they are a thick card stock. I don't have any dungeon tiles, but I think that they are similar in thickness.

So you were able to print them out on your printer with thick Cardstock? EXCELLENT!

Can I ask the type of printer and thickness of the stock? Have been looking to do the same with Dundjinni generated maps but my current printer won't handle even postcard thickness.

This is actually one of the sets from their new Terraclips line. So, they are printed out and die-cut, so you just pop them out and they are ready to use. I only used the clips on the vertical areas. Just like the bow-ties in DF, you don't really need the clips to hold the street tiles together.

I have both Tericlips and D&D dungon Tiles.. ill pull some out and take a pic later but the Tericlips are much thiner then the D&D cardstock. by maybe half or more. The Tericlips are still sturdy none the less and look wonderfull. You cant make the Dungon tiles do much in the way of 3D like tericlips but the Tiles are 10-20 bucks for a box and Tericlips are 40. So you get what you pay for. But that 40 bucks get you considerably more tiles. D&D tiles are about 10 sheets of tiles and the Tericlips box i got was easly double that. but with building and roofs box that I picked up i was not able to use all of my peices at once.

I find myself in error. The D&D dungeon tiles and the Teraclips tiles the same width or extremely close

(Sorry for the thread necro!)

per the manufacturer's website (Worldworks), the Streets/Buildings/Sewers of Malifaux are 1.7mm thick cardboard. After messing around with them myself, as long as you don't abuse the pieces and pay some extra attention to the pieces with big arches in them (less structural integrity due to the open space), they seem like they will last quite some time.

I just bought me 2 sets each of Streets and Buildings (I did not bother with Sewers as this is terrain much more suited for DF products IMO). These should tide me over until the DF restock comes in a few months.

I am scheduled to run my game in 2 weeks time (we alternate between 3 GM's/games since none of us has the free time to GM every week), and since it is the end of a chapter in my campaign, I am going to treat the players to an elaborate setup.

The party is going to have to try and stop the evil city mayor and his cronies from successfully opening the main gates for the opposing army. I am going to use the old Mageknight castle gatehouse and walls, lots of Worldworks stuff, some resin buildings, and of course some DF to build a rare treat of a huge battlescape right in the main street just inside the city gates where the players get to fight their way through the traitors and save the day!

Pictures will be posted for everyone - as it is going to be one of the rare times I put together a big, over the top setup due to time limitations and our group's playstyle.

Eric

PS: If you buy the Worldworks stuff, don't forget the clips!

Phoenix...

Where did you get that green, cloth battlemap with the squares in it that you have underneath everything?

Thanks,
Eric
