Seriously! Is there anything that cannot be done with DF scenery? Or anything that cannot be used with it?

EDIT - pics removed due to lack of space on the Forums.

Man, where'd you get those? Did you make them? They look great! I want to see close-up pics. The blood-splatter on the altar/dias looks great, and I love that last one! I want to see a better pic of the statue in the center.

Heya L;

Wow, lots of questions...

1) Where did I get them?

From a pile of foam, some cardboard, Wood Glue, and Balsa Wood, oh - and 2 old GW minis.

2) Did I make them"

Sorta. My wife and I made them.

3) Close up pics?

Why of course....

I guess I should mention at this point, that my whole family is involved in RPG'ing. From playing the games, all the way to building scenery, painting, etc. Both my sons (12 & 10) and my wife, oh yeah, and me. Sorry for the bad photo's btw. (El Cheapo camera and all)

Wow, I'm very impressed. The tiles on the floor, and the texture, it all looks very professional. I wasn't sure if you made them or bought them because the floors look so fantastic!

You might want to join me in the Dark Side -- as a collector of BOTH Dwarven Forge AND Hirst Arts molds. They each offer something different, but for anyone who gets into making their own stuff, the HA molds can be a real treat. If you haven't done so already, check out www.voidgamers.com under the Hirst Arts terrain section, look at some pics of what people have done. (If you want, look under author LAW, which is me, for what I've done)

Hirst Arts molds do give you the option of making whatever elements you want for your DF displays. It's come up here before, I can't remember if you were on those threads. In any case, I think for anyone who likes the idea of adding their own treats to a DF dungeon, the HA molds are great ideas.

I have been put onto Hirst Arts before, but they are not available in Australia, unfortunately.

I tried to find your name on the site (Law), but to no avail. Do you by any chance have a link to your stuff? I would very much like to see it.

Thanks

Yea, sometimes that site can be a bit wonky. Anyhoo, here's a direct link to my pics. There's quite a lot of stuff, only some of them are DF-related, but you can get a sense of what can be done. It's a shame you can't get the molds, they seem like something you'd really like. Plus, looking at what you can do WITHOUT them, I'm sure you'd be able to come up with fantastic stuff with them!

Heya L;

There are some VERY nice pics there!

I agree with your earlier statement, that I would like the Hirst Arts Molds.

I will just have to continue with making my Balsa Wood and Cardboard Buildings.

May have to try making them seperable (1st and 2nd story).

Again, some VERY nice pics there. I also like the use of the molds with the DF scenery.

Very Kewl Tiles... I Like Them a Lot... and Since they are Home Spun I Guess the Height of the Pillars is not a forgone conclusion, but rather circumstantial... I Have to Say You are a Very Creative Guy, No Wonder your Son is Quite the Artist...
