Re:Necromancer's Tower 2 Years, 12 Months ago
@M4jumbo & Harneloot : I made a topic some month ago about my custom curved walls, you'll find it here.
And yes, Every floor can be lifted. In fact I made the setup floor by floor on some cardboard. Then cut the cardboard on the floor size with some holes for the steps. And so I can put every floor one on the other easily.

@Arcarius : The telescope is a little custom : the telescope part is from the warhammer chapel and the foot part is from Fenryll wizard house accessories.

Excellent!

I like your idea of making battlements using the mini pillars! I'm going to steal that idea.

Where did you get the cauldron with green smoking head rising from it? I have (or have similar) or can place most of the other stuff but not this?

Cheers

Hello Dave,

In fact, the battlements are also a custom :)

For the cauldron, it is an old Grenadier stuff (I think that this company doesn't exists anymore) from the Wizard"s Chamber. this will help you.

Thank you

Nice tower! I really like the custom work you've done.

The Atrium of the Wizard pieces are a blast from the past. I have a number of the old Grenadier AD&D sets (my first miniatures!) but never got that one. I remember the pictures made it seem really cool and mysterious. :D

Thanks Crazy Herald and Rodenbach!

Yes, those old school AD&D miniatures bring back nostalgic memories.

I'm half tempted to start collecting them (I still have a couple of boxes and some individuals from my school days in the 1980's) but actually, when I look at them, I'd rather spend my money and painting time buying and working on more modern and better figures like the Otherworld range.

As much as I love the otherworld miniatures range I have great nostalga for the old school Grenadier and Ral Partha ranges. They also fit in the DF better.

Just proves I'm becoming a fantasy Gronard.

Beautiful tower. I love all the details you put into each level. You have the coolest toys ;). It makes me want to watch ebay for these miniatures.

Agreed, a very nice array showcasing a dark and perilous world.

...If anyone in the future should label their photos as a diagram revealing where some of the amazing miniatures come from, especially the older ones, I shall be much obliged. I recognize a lot of what I see, however, others I do not, and am quite usually too reticent to inquire.

Hello Zargon,
Labelling each one will be quite... long...
BUT, I know more or less where all is coming from. So, no inquirement needed, just ask which one and I'll try to ask !!!
