The flooded Temple 3 Years ago
Last Sundays game session was very deadly for some of my players. Good thing there are resurrection powers. ;)

SO AWESOME!

Love the setup, very atmospheric. And the photos are great.

I have two "please ID this figure" questions:

1. What's that large ogre-looking thing (in the third pic)? Looks like a McFarlane action figure, but I can't quite place it.

2. Who makes that skeletal-looking figure surrounded by green flames (in the second pic)?

Wow, that does look amazing. The setup really gives the impression of a flooded temple. As always, great minis (and one maxi :P )!!

Addicted to DF - Proud owner of 147 DF sets and counting = 126 new non-bowtie sets, and 21 older bowtie sets! By some miracle, I have managed to avoid wife aggro so far...

Thank you very much Law, Chris, LegoRick and Sorn! :)

Thank you very much! I made most of these shots last Sunday. It was something around midnight and I was so very tired (and with a annoying voice in my head that kept on telling me that I had to get up extra early for work the next morning). When I first looked at the pictures that night I disliked them so much I almost deleted them. A couple of days later I shot another few (normally the setup would have been dismantled by then but my workload didn't give me the time for doing that) but I was quite surprised because after revisiting the first shots I suddenly liked them too. :)

1. What's that large ogre-looking thing (in the third pic)? Looks like a McFarlane action figure, but I can't quite place it.
It really is a McFarlane figure (this one). It needs a few washes to be complete but even looks quite OK without them. Some of the dragons from McFarlane are also really awesome for D&D gaming. :)

2. Who makes that skeletal-looking figure surrounded by green flames (in the second pic)?
It's a Warmaschine Mini (this one).

Thank you all for the great comments! :)

Your setups continue to amaze and inspire me. I think Stefan has you secretly on the payroll 'cause every time I see your layouts, I feel the need for more DF!

If only that were true! No need for money (who needs food anyway?), he could pay me in Dwarven Forge Sets. That would be awesome! :D ;)

Another very cool set up Kronos, thanks. Without using interior walls, it really gives the feeling of a huge open space. Plenty of room for the monstrously large creatures to stomp around in. I like your use of the GW ruined temple piece as well. Now I have a reason to pick one of those up to use in conjunction with DF.

It looks fantastic. If you don't mind my asking, where are the large obelisk/pillar things from that are in your main altar area?

Oh, you don't have to tell me -- I've been singing that gospel for years. It was a real shame when that line ended (though I suppose I WAS running out of room....)

(and by that I mean I had run out of room around Series 7 or so....)

I really love the way you have this set up, and the Ogre looks right at home there....
