Superb paint job! Thom's got some really great stuff. Too bad its all unpainted.

While I love to paint, I much rather spend my time playing because I totally don't have time for both. Instead I fall back on World Works paper stuff and prepaints.

Anyway, nice job on getting the Mrs. to help you. Great idea! I might have to try that one.

In the meantime, I've been eyeing Yan's awesomely painted Thom pieces on eBay for awhile now... *sigh* but the peices are just out of budget's reach. Maybe, if they are still up around the holidays, I can convince some of my gamer buddies to pick me up a few.

Can't wait to see more pics!

Wow, I too love the library. I would like to add my two cents worth as well. Stefan add some book shelves, of course one that opens, a rolling ladder, a large globe and a massive desk. With Dwarven Forge quality, I’m ready to shell out now.

Thomarillion is changing all their stuff from plaster to resin.
(another topic here)
I don't know if they are going to purpose painted furnitures.
I already know a place to order painted stuff in resin so I expect for DF doing next chapters in Hellscape 2 & 3 and medieval streets.

Finally got my painted Thormallion pieces from Yansolo and they arrived with narry a chip!

You know, some of them actually feel like they may be resin instead of plaster...anyone know of an easy way to tell besides trying to chip them to see if its white underneath?

The bookcases I got in resin on the game fair in Essen were much lighter than their plaster equivalent.

Is all I can say about the difference other than their color, too.

Hmmmm...these felt fairly heavy, so I'm guessing they're all plaster....

Thank you, JohnS,

I am glad that my ibrary inspired you. That’s a great honor for me!!!

Thanks also to all the others for your comments and appreciations!

I hope to find sufficient time to make a great setup on my own soon. I’ve got a lot of accessories! :-)

Sorry for the bump... I'm trying to emulate Crazy Herald's painting scheme.

By the way, Thomarillion now sells about 95% of their products (including their bookshelves) in sturdy resin (not the plaster/resin type anymore)!

Inspiring! Beautiful paint job, cool set-up, great pics.

biowizard - The timing of your bump was most fortuitous for me. I just received a Thomarillion order a few days ago and with this being a long holiday weekend in the US I have a good chunk of time for painting. I was debating where to start, but this post decided it..library it is!

Hello all,

to Biowizard,

What type (acrylic, etc and vallejo, other ?? ) of paint do you use to emulate the Crazy Herald's painting ? I tried many time, but the result is..far, very far the result of crazy herald....

Thanks

@+
