L--did you print on the transparencies on your own printer or on a work printer? Just wondering what kind of printer you have or used. I have an inkjet but am not sure if I could print on plastic like that. It would be awesome if I could.

Great pics by the way!

Home computer -- Canon i960 or something like that. I had the transparencies from another project, and they were so expensive I was looking for an excuse to use them again. I figured I could get a neat "layered" effect if I put one over regular paper, and I am happy with the result. Not as elaborate as using resin on an actual topography, but still a cool way to give some water to a DF display.

Wow... o.k. so is your printer an inkjet or laserjet? That might make a difference in whether or not I try to print on flimsies. I'm worried about ink running and mucking up the rollers, etc.

Oh, I see what you're thinking.

Actually, usually the transparencies themselves take care of that. I have an inkjet, but when I went to Staples they had inkjet and laser transparencies. The ones I got are good for both, actually. One side is smooth, the other is a bit textured, has a bit of friction. It makes the transparency EVER so SLIGHTLY clouded, but not really much. But you put it in the right way round, and the ink sticks fine. No problems.

Law,

Just out of Curiousity, How expensive was "Expensive" in terms of the Price of the Transparencies? (And What sort of Water Ripple Source material are you Using)?

Thanks for the follow up on what type of printer you used. I can see doing some cool stuff like you did with the transparencies! I just have to get a new color cartridge and I'm all set!
