I have seen a few suggestions for helping to make Master Maze more 3D in nature on these forums. Some, like the keep or tower suggestions that have pieces that can also be used in a generic dungeon design are great, but I think the advent of a "resin system" for multi level dungeons is simply not cost effective. (I also think a cavern set with a balcony system is cool too).

I had my local hardware store cut two large sheets of 2cm thick chipboard into squares 20cm by 20cm. This allows me to "step" any aspect of a dungeon I want, without the need to spend a fortune on resin pieces that would not be visible anyway.

I might even paint the edges of the wood pieces a grey colour to match (as far as possible) the Master Maze shade, so that I can use them as supports for rooms. I could then simply pick up a room on its wooden base, revealing another room underneath.

Using my wood pieces as the understructure I built a pyramid. It is crude as it was done in just over two hours, but see what you think.

PS - The wood used cost me the equivalent of $20. Surely cheaper than any resin supports would be.

This perspective gives a good view of the multi levels of the inner sanctum. There are many more pictures at groups.yahoo.com/group/mastermaze

Someone had Shown us some Great uses of Styro-foam as Supports some while back... As to the Double Doors... The Problem with those (For Me, who is admittadly over anal about The Way the Set ups Fit together), is that You have the Door Frames Aligned with one Edge of the "Base" of the Door, so you end up with Either Two Doors Side by Side, with the Hinges on the Same side of the Doors, OR you end up with the Doors Being "Uneven" because of the Base Footprint not lining up properly... It would be Great though if DF would Release some "Special" Doors including some Double Door Offerings...
