Hey, it's actual DF photos! While spraying some of my toys, it occurred to me that I could probably do some wicked DF repaints with this stuff. I really love the tiles of the ROTA set, but repainting them by hand, tile by tile, was a nightmare. A gold spritz is not only easier, it gives it a fantastic glimmer that really looks awesome.

Sorry for the bad photos and non-display quality, I just wanted to show off the piece. I promise when Hellscape shows, you'll have purtier pics from me.

Great idea for a treasure or throne room.

That's a nice gold but it almost appears too bright (maybe just the photos) and too perfect ... especially at the broken tile areas. Have you considered adding a brown or chestnut wash over it to add depth to the recesses ? If you want to keep the bright gold tiles, simply wipe the wash off of them before it dries but leave it in the recesses.

Yeah, this is just a WIP. I'm planning to put a brown wash in the "broken tile" areas -- but I do intend to leave the rest of it really bright. It looks a bit odd in the pictures, but in person it has just the effect I'm looking for.

Well, then, I'll have to come over and see it in the "flesh" ;)

It does look nice and I'm glad the effect and the paint worked out for you ... I'm not as brave taking a brush and paint to my DF !!

Definately nice (as mentioned above, for a treasure room, throne room, or just to show "hey, we've got gold.").

Perhaps the flash made it a bit extra shinny in the pics.

Look forward to seeing the finished work. Might have to ask you to ebay a few. :) (or sell some directly to me...smile)
