Monkplayer,

It's a semicomplete work in progress. I hope to have it completed this month now that it has cooled off. It is a converted part of the garage so it gets pretty hot out there. I recently put in a small AC unit to help with that. Once it is finished I will post some pics.

Here's my gaming room :

The room is about 4.5 meters on 3.50 including 3 giant "intern" cupboards full of old games (classics) vinyls and books but also everything I need to paint the minis. Face to the cupoboards there's a large window.

The table in the center is about 2 on 1 meter - enough to play adventures- and I have 4 PVC chairs. [room climatised !]
I also let the green map with squares on it : very very useful to place houses, dungeon pieces and everything you need to play a adventure..

2 shelves I had to buy to put some games. The cupboard on the right contains all DF sets, Lord lava sets, Morgar's ones & many furnitures (thomarillion, mage knight etc) too.

Each box contains one or several DF set there.
The 2 addidas ones contain the medieval line.
All accessories are into a transparent box in the middle between cardbox.
(treasure, medieval furnitures etc)

So everything you need to play quickly in my hands !

I have to put off the massive old brown cupboard this winter for 2 other shelves (like the first on the left) and change the color of the room in white. I bought a shield, a giant sword to stick to the walls.

Eric,

Great room! Very neatly organized too. I love the laminated Greyhawk map. I should buy a spare and copy that idea!

Ditto that!

I have a few copies of the Greyhawk map I'd like laminated (or framed), but I don't know a good place to do the former, and the latter is quite expensive!

I took a little different route with a gaming space. Rather than set up a gaming room (as I was originally planning to do), I found out that the owner of my local gaming store was looking for a partner. So, I invested with him into the store - and a reallly cool gaming area!

The store is actually a retail game store / cafe, with a lot of room for people to game there. We have a big upstairs area (2 medium, and 1 very large game table), and 3 divided theme rooms downstairs.

There's some pictures on our website here: arsenalgameroom.com/

arsenalgameroom.com/rooms.htm

So, not only an incredible gaming area I get to share with the gaming community, but a all-around cool place to hang out (and store a lot of my Dwarven Forge)

It's located in downtown Indianapolis, so if you're ever in the area, swing on by! (We're just about a mile from the convention center, should you come to Gen Con...)

Here's mine, hope this link works. It's the first time I have tried this.

If it works then I will also post some photos from the last game I ran.

Monkplayer,
Thanks for catching that. I went back in and edited the post to include the correct link. It should work now.

Great room.

I have noticed rooms either tend to lean towards amazing aesthetics (but compromise on ease of access for people and gaming stuff) or towards functionality (but don't have much in the way of immersion). You managed to get elements of both in quite well. I like how you have the curtains you can remove when done and you can just close all the cupboards, and it looks like a typical room.

BTW - the one shelf with a blank spot for the AC unit made me LOL ;)

Well This is not my game room , That will come after our basement remodel, But I did finish my WORKSHOP it covers one side of my Garage wall. I just got done unpacking all of my boxes of projects and bits and pieces. looks like i have about 3 years of painting ahead of me. on he shelves are a variety of grendel, armorcast, tonys, and tons of other things that need paint. I have blue bins dedicated for small bits, I have a few craft roll carts with more dungeon scenery pieces in , ( no more shelf room ) but those are the painted ones. then there is a unit that has four drawls of crafting tools, drummel, glues, saws, knives etc, etc.in the cabinets below one is filled with molding supplies. one is filled with secret projects. one is filled with paints , and one is misc. the small gray box is my makeshift spray paint booth . and of course my CPU on edge to get my daily DWARVEN FORGE.

enjoy the pics . the last one is pic of a spellcaster that was left alone and is about to be devoured by my very hungry cloaker,,,,or is she.

Wow! That is an amazing collection of terrain items you have, even if you will be painting for near unto eternity! Also, looks like you have discovered the trick of unbasing mageknight figs, at least that is what the sorceress looks like to me.

Thanks Eric! Yeah, the AC unit was an afterthought. The room is a converted bay of the garage so it has no central heat or air conditioning. The portable cooler hidden in one corner helps but that little ac unit really makes it work out. I just hadn't planned for it and had to sacrifice some shelf space as the unit has to be mounted through a wall. But the plus side of he room is that just behind that ac unit is a fridge so we don't have to go far for snacks and drinks.
