I snapped a few picture of the storage drawers from Target that Aracon mentioned here(www.dwarvenforge.com/dwarvenforums/viewtopic.php?id=3110). As he said, they were very near perfect and hold DF very snug. www.target.com/Sterilite-7-Drawer-Craft-Cart-White/dp/B000MQ62IG/sr=1-1/qid=1236818542/ref=sr_1_1/179-5141942-2139726?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=0&index=target&rh=k%3A7%20drawer&page=1

The first two pictures shows the whole drawer and cabinet. The DF boxes next to it should give an idication of its size (it was hard for me to image on the Target webpage). Also, it comes without the wheels attached, and I'm leaning towards not putting the wheels on.

The next picture shows the contents of one drawer with just one RoTA set in it. The one after that filled completely up (in this case, with one of the bonus 4-way intersections).

Because there was some play between the top of the DF and the lid, I cut up some of the bubble wrap that came with the individual pieces and put a layer on top of the pieces to give them some cusion to prevent the occasional scratch. The first picture is hard to see (sorry!), but you can make it out beneath the lid in the following one.

Oh, and I thought I'd show how well the DF boxes protect the pieces. When one of the UPS boxes came, there was a large hole in the side of it. Sure enough, whatever punctured it went deep enough that it pushed through the peanuts inside and punched a hole in the white DF box. But the styrofoam in there absorbed it completely without any damage to the pieces.

Thanks again Aracon for the drawer suggestion! I've been looking for something like this for years! Though, yes, my girlfriend also now pokes fun at me for buying a "girl's scrapbook" drawer to hold my "man dolls". 8-)

I like the Sterilite storage drawers. I have seven of them in my office, chock full of minis I've yet to paint.

I just realized this exact drawer has been sitting in the living room, doing nothing but holding my wife's sewing stuff and I never even gave it a second look while I thought about a storage solution.

Doh.

Well, those pictures MIGHT have just done it....I might finally abandon the white DF boxes....

Has anyone seen them for less that $30 a pop?

Harneloot:

I got them for $20 once but I think it was a Christmas thing. Target is the only place I have seen these, but they work great.

No problem, glad I could help. I searched everywhere for this and was on the verge of getting customized drawers made when I stumbled upon these with the wife in the Scrap book section (and she kids me to no end about buying a girlie thing as well). Just be very careful because they are slippery and transporting them with more than three drawers in-hand is very dangerous.

Thanks for the pictures... I've been meaning to get some uploaded but have been swamped with RL crazy things.

This is exactly what I use as well. I have 20 of them total. Of course will not need them all for awhile now since I sold of a bunch of stuff.

Be careful, the staples drawers don't have snap down lids. The snap down lid is key to top pack the DF stuff with bubble wrap to keep it from bouncing up and down on the road. With a little bubble wrap this storage is nearly as good as styrofoam and much easier to use on the game table.

After reading Aracon posts awhile back about these containers; I went to Target and bought 3 of them. They work perfect.

I use ones from Office Max. They have wheels on the bottom. Office Max frequently has them on sale. I've got mine lined with foam on the bottom.

I use something smaller for mine. Gotta get some pics up soon.

Essentially I build my dungeons on foam boards, put the foam boarded sections into boxes with locking lids and padding, put 5 of those in a big rubbermaid tub, and now I can quickly and easily lay out my dungeon room by room during play.

*bump*

As I just started using these, and someone just asked about them, I figured I'd remind everyone of these and mention how much less space my collection now takes up!
