My problem is - Target is always out of them!

In six months of trying, I've only be able to grab five of them by hitting the two closest Traget stores whenever randomly convenient.

But yeah, they rock!

Are people keeping their original boxes or ditching them? Right now I'm keeping mine...

Those drawers are really popular for wargamers and scrapbookers alike. My local Target had 6 sitting out. I picked up one and went back a few days later for another and they were all gone.

I decided to keep my originial boxes for now. Not that I am planning to sell my toys, but I would like to have the option to sell them in their original boxes just in case. I have all my empty sci-fi starter, alpha, and gamma boxes stashed under the basement stairs. I haven't made up my mind yet whether I want to move all my DF dungeon and ROTA to the drawers. If I do I can always stash all the empty boxes up in the attic. The larger drawers Philip shared would certainly help fit the bigger passage and cavern pieces that I didn't want wasting space in the expensive smaller drawers.

My sets: 20x Sci-fi starters, 7x Alpha's, 3x Gamma's, 4x Beta's, 6x Passage; 3x ROTA, 3x ROTA II; and more Dungeon and Caverns sets than I feel like counting (or want my wife counting).

I actually check online on Target.com to see if they have them in stock. It's not always 100% accurate, but I've gotten five so far, three from one store and two from another. So, those along with the three drawer versions will hold me over for now. I haven't filled them up, obviously, but I'm getting more DF sets every paycheck. I love how much space is saved with these and how well I'm able to organize everything. Later this year, or early next, I'll probably pick up more.

Oh and in response to the question, I get rid of the original DF boxes. They're just way too bulky for someone who lives in an apartment. Even if I didn't though, I would prefer using the Sterilite carts.

After seeing this topic I ran out to a local Target last night and got two of these. They work like a charm. I'm going to pick up a few more, and I plan on using them to organize all of my miniatures, accessories and DF stuff. I may have to get a bunch more as I expand my collection.

Aracon, Fu-man Chu, and Shutterbug thank you so much for showing us this great storage solution and posting the pictures.

You're welcome AE! Glad we could help with the storage!

I was organizing more of my DF a few weeks ago and noticed though that these weren't very space efficient for the more irregular Cavern sets. I'm going to have to find a better way of transporting and storing those.

I looked on the Sterilite website, but couldn't find another drawer system (that was bigger) that had the same footprint layout so that I could "stack" the drawers..

As an update in case someone stumbles onto this thread, these drawers are no longer being produced by Sterilite (I called them and they verified that).

Pusherman has been using these: www.dwarvenforge.com/forum?func=view&catid=3&id=43285
