Vermin Hunters of Valon, City of Noble Ice Wizards

Synopsis: The characters in my game fled the village of Harpstring, far to the south, and secretly caught passage as far away as possible. This took them on a long journey, first circling the southern seas, then an uninterrupted journey North, to Valon, city of ice wizards, at the foot of the Great Glacier. Here they applied for refugee status, and took on a civic job to get their feet under them financially. They were given Vermin Hunter's licenses for an area of the port district near their social housing. (IMC the Avalonians are based on a very chivalrous and bureaucratic system of government)

There was one other fight in the streets near their housing, but I forgot to take pictures while I was DMing. Maybe I'll re-enact it if I have time. I like the water tiles for sewers, and IMO could make do without a sewer set, although sewer accessories would blow my mind.

The Characters:

Cragathorn the Quick, neutral elven rogue

Bemusa, foul tempered Amazon barbarian

Gorice, common Orichalan star pact warlock

Jherr Rhee of the Black Winds Clan, half orc barbarian bodyguard of Gorice

In the dark sewers of Valon, the party, led by Cragathorn the Quick, attempt to track the elusive sea snakes whose skins are quite valuable.

They're surprised by three lurking serpents.

The venomous sea snakes surge forward.

Both Jherr Rhee and Bemusa are taken down by the powerful venom. It looks like it's up to Cragathorn the Quick to finish the snakes.

Gorice and Cragathorn desperately try to slaughter the serpents. The large sea snake eventually flees, but the others continue to press and Cragathorn is dragged down by a venomous wound.

Jherr Rhee's life slips away as he bleeds to death, but Bemusa somehow musters the strength to stand and fight the snakes. Gorice and her continue to harrass the snakes until they are dead.

That large snake looks familiar. where did it come from? Did you paint it and glue to a large base? If so that is a nice job. Also where did you get the bridge?

I think the snake is just a dollar store snake, like a lot of our animals/vermin/dinos. It hasn't been glued to a base, but we always keep a stash of assorted sized bases so we can plop em down for whatever is applicable.

I'm not sure what company the bridge came from, but I bought it from my FLGS. I think it was on sale for 5 or 6 bucks, and it was before DF released their caverns set with the bridge. I like the way it suits man made waterways.
