Here are some pics I took of a fun tavern setup. I've got the common room with a little action, the upstairs brothel, and the kitchen with some poor wench working her tail off. Got to love the medieval building sets!!

The paint on those minis is amazing. My favorite is the man and woman on the picture third from the left, top row. They look almost lifelike.

Great Dancer Figs! We gotta do another Tavern Accessory Set which includes kitchens and other fun stuff soon! Perhaps some patrons as well.

That's a great eclectic mix of minis there, and nicely painted to boot. I love the Grendel scenery.

I don't recognize the gentleman sitting on the bar. Is he a conversion of a standing figure, or did he come that way?

I would LOVE to see you guys follow up on this. Here's my take:

1. Bartenders, waitresses, etc. -- Less than TOTALLY necessary, largely because Reaper has released such great, mostly-readily-available figures for this stuff, and other companies have done enough to provide for this. It'd be neat to see your take on it, but those of us who really, really want this stuff can get it already. Given the limited resources of DF, and the cost to the consumer, it might be a poor idea.

2. Kitchen equipment is somewhere in the middle -- Grendel did SUCH a great job, and I see it repeatedly in people's pics, so clearly a lot of us have it. It took me a little time to track it all down, but I managed. Still, it's harder to get than Reaper figures, and there's definitely a need for it. So, similar arguments could be mounted against it, but not QUITE as strongly.

3. Drunks, Performers, Beggars -- Again, Reaper has done a decent job providing, and there are other companies that do this, so once more we have a somewhat good option out there already. And, again, if you did something slightly different, it might still be worth picking up.

4. SEATED FIGURES. NOW we're talking! You've made chairs, benches, stools, and beds, and we STILL don't have nearly any figures to USE on these things. I've customized some plastic DDM figures, and people like Tom seem to have access to the occasional European mini -- and GW made one seated kid for their Bretonnian line (he comes with a piece of artillery). But on the whole, there just aren't seated or prone figures, and I think that a tavern setup is REALLY lacking with all those empty chairs and empty benches. If DF is going to do patrons, I vote that 3 out of 4 of them be seated or lying down!

You could even do a lying-down drunk, who could be in bed or just passed out on the barroom floor...

I'd love to have seated patrons for the tavern set ups. I would also love to have a performer or two, and a beggar or other patron types. I don't have time to paint miniatures, and there are none readily available pre-painted in resign or plastic. I have a bar tender and waitresses, but could always use more variety.

FIFTY DRAKMAS FOR THE DANCING WOMAN!!!! These are painted and photographed most excellently! Bravo!!! The lady with the broom at the end almost is looking in shock at the "entertainment" in the other room. LOL.

I also have to add my vote for the tavern patrons (especially seated). There's so many companies out there producing minis with swords etc... Dwarven Forge has provided the best scenery in the market and it seems a shame to not have more assorted accessories (furniture)and regular townspeople/children to really flesh it all out. I would of course prefer DF to produce these and would purchase quite a few!!!
