here's a bunch of great photos for my game that Peter, who plays Tosh, a Rastafari cleric, took over the span of a few sessions...

these ones were when they were attempting to call the spirit of Balthazar, the captain of their ship, back from the Netherworld. a little surprise came with him...

here you can see the recently ressurrected Balthazar fending off gargoyles with the groups patron, Lord Gunther.

Ursula "The Kid" Ironfists hammering away at the gargoyles.

standing over the defeated gargoyles.

some photos after they've returned to the dungeon where the captain was beheaded. first they fought off troglodytes, then "The Kid" went toe to toe with a shambling mound, then the wizard walked right into a nest of spiders.

here's some shots from a session where the characters paid back an old grudge to a gang of ninjas that killed a couple of their crew. the ninjas chased them in a junk, the characters used Tosh's cloak of the manta ray to soften up their enemies, then sent "The Kid" in to finish off the ninja wizard. ya gotta love the Pirates toys for half decently "to scale" keelboats.

Those boats look pretty good in terms of scale. What pirate toys brand or product are they from?

They are a line of Pirates Of the Caribbean toys that Blair found at Toys'r'Us. Those two are the only ones in the line, I believe. We live in Canada, but I'm sure you'd be able to find them there. The sails and canons are a little out of scale, but some shields ought to cover the guns and a mast shouldn't be too hard to make. The junk looks great but the playable area on it is small.

I bought em both for the session where they had to sail a few hundred miles in under 11 days or the captain would be lost forever. There was a giant squid battle as well, which I'll post when Pete uploads the pics on his flickr.

These sessions were great swashbuckling high seas adventures. The crew of Assim's Wind are a good lot.

The spiders were fun too. God bless the dwarven barbarian's saves against poison. She took so many hits and only once was poisoned.

Are you using a special camera for these photos? I was able to zoom in pretty tight on my layouts, but the detail you are capturing is awesome.

*heading off to read up on my camera for zoom focus*

I didn't take these photos, but Pete does have a nice camera. I have no idea what it is, but I could ask him for you. I would assume it's a macro or wide angle lens, but I don't know s&*^ from shine-ola when it comes to cameras.
