Hi folks!

I went to Home Depot to buy some cocking for my windows, and I came accross plastic shelving thingies. I thought that it would be a great way to store my dungeons & dragons miniatures. At 7$ each, 4 fitting perfectly on my library shelf, it's a match made in heaven!

How do you guys store you miniatures? Your decor? I'm strongly thinking of buy more of that and putting my DF in (it will fit perfectly, I checked). I'm interested in your opinions.

Here's what it looks like:

My minis are seperated by type. Here's the construct rack:

I use something similar for my large and huge minis. For mediums and smaller I've got a variety of storage pieces that I've tried out. I'll try to remember to take some pictures at some point, but the three main things I've been using are:

Large bead storage trays (similar to this) - for times when I travel (also the only thing I could seem to find when I first started looking)

Snap-together organizers (like this) - great for storing faceless hordes of stormtroopers

hardware storage drawers (like this but in several combinations of drawer sizes) - for organizing aliens A to Z

I already posted it, but here it is again. Custom made to fit DF, and use the spare drawers for miniatures

Well I'm lucky enough that I have pretty much the whole basement as my gaming and storage area:

What you see when you open the basement door - Various games and game systems collected over 30+ years. The Xmas tree is my tree- all the Star trek ornaments go on this one as thw wife refuses to let a single starship onto the "real" tree (she says it does not "match" her ornaments):

Looking into the main area- more shelves and storage along the back wall. My cat Gambit sitting on his favorite perch and the DF website up on the computer!:

Picture showing my two gaming tables (one for RPG's and one for mini's), more storage, my mini's display case, etc. Not seen are the 4 boxes of DF down by the gaming table which are for the quick and dirty layouts one of which can be seen on the RPG table:

Looking the other way down my main gaming area:

And finally- the DF storage area. Everything but the 4 boxes down by the RPG table get tagged and stored here. 3 more boxes are on the way to add to the collection not counting the 3 pre-order boxes:

That's amazing Blackhawk. I wish I had as much space in my 2 rooms apartment as you do in your basement.

Man, I would kill for a gaming space like yours Blackhawk! In fact, I'm sure my wife would kill for me to have a space like that......as long as its not in our house :(

Love the games collection you have there :) In fact, I love everything about that room! I'll have to keep notes for when we do that next extension :)

crioux,

I am having a dresser similar to yours made in January for my storage. Do you mind sharing the dimentions with me? Inside shelf, outside shelf, depth, width and height of the whole outside? I would appreciate it if you share. My original design was a bit different than that but my current design is similar to what you have done. Any help would be great. My email is dm underscore horn at hot mail dot com if you do not want to share with everyone. If you are ok with that just post it here then. THanks.
