Updated pictures with walls at the boyyom of this page

All

First of all - a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

But back to my project. I know many people have suggested a DF mine in the past. I've been thinking about a design for quite a while now - and around this time of year the chance is highest that I actually find some time to try it out. All what you see is the work of today. So far I managed to make three pieces - a straight mine (floor), a curved mine (floor) and a cart for the ore. This time I restraint from using Hirst Arts and sculped the floor completely myself.

I did a quick paint job as this is closer to how it will look in the end. But this pieces are basically ment as masters for a mould. This will take a few more days - as my supplier is closed now until early next year and I need some more rubber.

So what next ??

Most important now is a dead end which 'connects' to a DF cavern piece. I hope to get it done in the next two days. This should be relative straightforward now that I did these pieces.

In the pictures I use the DF walls - they fit really, really well. But I've planned to make some walls of my own with wooden supports on the sites.

What do you think about the pieces done so far - and what would you think I should add.

Interesting, but I think it would be easier, and more modular to have the tracks seperated from the base. This way it could be used with any existing modules.
