Tron,

So are you Doing this as You Design a Dungeon? In other words are you Keeping your Spread Sheet Open while Setting Up and then refering to it as you Go? How does it Work? (Not the Spread Sheet Functions, I Understand the Basic Formulas you appear to be Using, but rather Is it Easier then Just Having a Printed List with The Inventory of available Pieces in Front of you)?... As to the Pic it looks like a Nice Layout, I Love Excel for all of its Flexibility I Force it to do Just About Everything, and it Looks like you Might also...<Chuckle>...

When I design a dungeon on paper or when I use some dungeon builder on the computer, the spreadsheet gives me a good inventory of my doors, floors and walls that I posses.
My gaming room is in the basement and my computer room is on the 2nd floor.
I hate going up and down because I forgot how many 2x2 floor tiles I have; somebody can break a hip doing that especially me…LOL…

For the pictures on the spreadsheet I use it so I don’t have to remember there names of the pieces. I will expand the use in including all my furniture’s and minis for the D&D game.

So With Your Computer in a Different Area, do you Just Print Your Spread Sheet Inventory anyway? I Use the Spread Sheet too, but Just as a List with Totals, I Can Print the Sheets as needed and just use tick-marks for keeping track of Howmany Pieces are Used in a Given "Leve"....

To build my dungeons I use the program Dungeon Crafter 2 until Dwarven Forge comes out with there version of dungeon builder. The spreadsheet helps me visualize the pieces and it gives me a record of the amount I have remaining.

I Liked DC2, but For Some Reason It is VERY Unstable on my PC and Opening any of the Art Sends Nasty Shudders through my System... I Am Curious about Grid Smith 1.5 though (Hopefully still in the Works), Which Should Work Nicely With DF Eventually... (Once I Make the Tiles)...

It is better then nothing, Dwarven Forge seems to be taking forever to release there dungeon tool, but that could be a good thing.........less bugs.

I Have Played with the DF Dungeon Tool in the Works, It is a Very Nice Concept, but I Really Think it would be more Useful to "Release" the Art that they are Using for the Program and Let us just Mess with it ourselves, the Art is Nice Looking, it is Just the Process of Lineing the Stuff up that I take Issue with... The Really Kewl Thing about it though, is that Once all of the Current Pieces are Available it WILL be a Nice way to Preview New Sets, and See how they will Fit with Your Existing pieces...

Bob, (The Min Builder),

I Guess Cause Gadgets are Kewl... But Seriously Once you Have Several Sets (Or more), Keeping Track of How many of What Type of Piece you Have Available is Nice During the Design Phase of a new Dungeon... And Makes the Diference between Having to Build the Dungeon First, or Design the Dungeon First I Suppose...
