Hey,
that leaves us in the asia pacific region left out!!! :P

Doesn't matter....we can always look to our western cousins to pick up pieces like we've been doing already

It's cheaper, but unless it gets to parity.....it's still expensive :)

The price we pay for our obsessions!! ;)

That's great! How much craft is involved in making it?

Not all fake candles are made equal. There are a lot of variations, type of battery, led sizes circuit size.
The one I used had a single flat battery under a circular cricuit. I simply mounted the fire over the circuit. But it is harder to find around here.
But some other circuits are so diffferent that is it a lot harder to make the batteries part of the circuit. You might have to hide an external battery pack, as I'm currently doing with a fireplace.

Is is blurred and not good quality, but it gives you an idea.

That's awesome...O.K. How many of you guys would be interested in buying torch lit walls? Twinkling Altars? We are thinking about doing something now that the technology is really there...

Depends on the costs. The Torch lit walls would be a good addition to anyones collection.

Sounds great to me!

That being said, in addition to the alter(s) -which sounds awesome BTW! I would really prefer it to be released as a small set that would also include small variety of the basics, such as:

Torches, in wall sconces (multiples)

Campfire (just 1)

and a Fireplace (again, just one)

Or perhaps 2 sets, one with just the wall torches and another consisting of "special" items.

torches woudl be cool, alter/well good, portal great, campfire awesome, other stuff good also. However this would be low on my list. Not sure about others.

I would like to see flooding caverns/dungeons, doors, lots of them, sewers, dwarven mines, treasure, cavern lava river set, tar pit add ons to caverns, ice caverns, hall of goodness set and a few other things first. I would say the new lighted set maybe end of year 08 but that is just me wanting the otehr stuff first.

I would buy them in a heart beat and find the idea very cool. What has stopped me from buying the (very well done and extraordinary) custom jobs is their extreme price on ebay. A standardized set couldn't help but be cheaper!

Add in lights and then include a water cup with some dry ice hidden in a concealed niche to fill a dungeon setup with mist. Set one of those bad boys up at a con and watch the fan boys flock. :)

Yes, I am in favor of it and would support it with my wallet.
