Here's pics from a session I ran a couple weeks ago. The characters have been plagued by a criminal organization after they defeated two of the organizations ninjas. The ninjas wore monks belts and the organization wants them back. In an assault on the characters' ship by a death squad led by a ninja wizard the leader of the party's sword was taken. The party launched a reconnaissance mission into an opium dealing brothel which turned into a full out raid, which was foiled by the sheer number of ninjas within the clubhouse. Here we find them making a deal with the ninjas, the sword for the belts. The trade was supposed to take place in the open streets at sunset. The ninja wizard arrived invisible, and before too long two of the characters were dead, one by a fireball, one by a shocking grasp.

This shot is of the female dwarf barbarian Ursula Ironfists battling dire rats in the Vaults Of St Invictus. She replaced one of the slain characters, Orbin Skolfrost, who was the ship's wizard's assistant. He was the blue robed character with the droopy hat. The other character that died was Mr. Singh, the ship's Boatswain. His mini was the shirtless one carrying the flail. Both were well painted and well played and will be missed.

Nice! I really like those movable paths!

Also, nice sleeve and a half, whoever was in that first shot.

"So, Mr. Ghaal, what would you say is the main driving force behind Gorgoroth's music?"
"Hm.... Satan."

in order of asking...

-the flexible roads are JR miniatures and those are blairgb's tattoos.

-the buildings are a mix of armorcast, JR miniatures and one miniature building authority townhouse.

-the bags of potatoes and grain are from JR minis. they came with one of the buildings.

Nice, very realistic and dark. Good use of the camera also. This coming from someone who just can't seem to focus on anything. I have an auto focus too!!!!

And THAT, whitewind, is the problem. I know, I found out the hard way, with MY camera. I've gone through two digital cameras, both Sonys, both with autofocus, and both drove me NUTS at super-close ranges, until, with the second one, I learned to either manual focus, or use a tripod and the 'macro' setting.
Since I'm almost as steady as Vesuvius in mid-quake, I still tend toward a tripod for any tight detail shots I can use one with.
Autofocus, on anything as small and detailed as a game setup with DF and minis, sucks, if you'll pardon the expression.

i just use my elbows as a tripod, and provided i didn't drink too much the night before my shakes are minimal enough to get shots like this. works for us. i don't even have a camera or know what one it is.

here's one more shot. i had to crop it because i don't have any programs other than preview(mac) and i don't think there's a resize tool.

the characters here are (clockwise from left)" the late Mr. Singh (ship's Boatswain), Mr. Gendajar (ship's Carpenter), and the late Mr. Orbin Skolfrost (ship's assistant wizard).

there's a closer look at the fruit and grain sacks. that's one of the few terrain bits i painted that look alright. i'm a hack!

EDIT: I found some more photos of this character claiming session...
