I'm posting some macro overview shots now with more to follow (perhaps tonight or tommorow). We gamed it a bit with a group of my youngest son's friends (mostly novices)...next weekend we will do the real deal (or at least begin). First shot is an overview of the entire setup. next shots follow from cavern entrance through lake/island aras to DOE entrance with a DOE shot from above. Sorry these are so far away - but don't worry I have many more closer shots and such. Note - I've placed most of the denizens at/near where they would show up but prior to the game I take most (but not all) out. (for this one) The layout is entirely visible however.

Awesome setup! Very creative and inspiring. I like your use of accessories too...really gives the setup a distinctive look. I bet this setup would be a blast to play in. As to the photos themselves...I think you may want to try lowering the iso speed if your going to shoot outdoors. That way you will preserve more detail in the shots. If the pics seem darker than you prefer then you can change the contrast/brightness and gamma in a photo editing program. I prefer a more high contrast lighting approach myself as I am sure that anyone who has ever seen any of my pics can atttest! lol Oh...one more photography tip that really helps me out is that I always use a tripod and set the camera on a 5 sec timer. That ensures that since the shutter is open longer there are no vibrations that will make the shot blur. I hope these tips help you out because your setups are fantastic and really deserve the best possible photography.

I see you have Audrey, as I affectionately call the Lance & Laser carnivorous plant (after Little Shop of Horrors.).

Thanks. I can't wait for the Cavern Wicked additions or what have you and/or the extra caversous water peices. I want to do a long sinewy cavernerous river/narrow lake system with interconnected cavernous passageways to small chambers and with waterfalls and other drops...so many ideas...and ultimatly my setups are (almost always) to support specific game adventures. In this case a king has called on heros from throughout the lands to rid these notorious caverns of the evil that lies within. Knights, archmages and high priests all respond - including an Arabian styled sorcerer (think Djin here) on a flying carpet (who must never touch the ground BTW or risk his Djin turning on him), along with his (Sultan's) royal assasin...the king also has a pet foo dog who eats demons (well the little ones) for lunch. So it is a very high level campaign (as one might figure from the denizens) - and almost every character has a magic item with some specific (useful) functionality. And yes Kradlo- that is the Lance & laser carnivorous plant (from Little shop of horros of course!)...who must be defeated to free a guardian angel from the Angor Wat heads who will dispense some key advice (concerning freeing the Atlantean Lord so that he, his water elemental friend and his sea unicorn can help defeat his deranged wife who lords over all the snakes and other water nasties. Lots of Djin. efreets, elementals, snake & lizard denizens...even some lovecraftean based demonics (BTW I use sanity in my campaign games...but not this one)...all in all great fun...and I assume quite challenging for the players...oh did I say lots of liches and other undead nasties too! (helps to have a Palidin & an Archbishop in the group)...shame my turning system for undead is somewhat stricter then standard D & D (at least not for the big guys)...priests must call on "favor" from their god(s) (which is a characteristic for every player - though a mutable one) and must perform specific acts of petenance and such to maintain such favor and only through such can they weild their god's holy (or in some cases unholy) power. Anyway the party will have several options for getting into and out of the DOE from the caverns...the first group was able to almost (but not quite) make it to one of the entrances by boat (in less then 4 hours of adventuring...much of which was lost through bikering and indesciveness and much of the rest was spent battling through the lake and dealing with various mishaps!) - unfourtunatly with some boarding a boat with a mind of its own on where to go they had little choice in their path (several - mainly those in platemail - were lobbying for the land route (probably a mistake ultimatly...at least in terms of likely mortality)...lol
