OK, I admit it. I have no idea what this is. I can't even tell you if it is meant to be indoors, or an outdoor environment. The ruins on the "northwest" corner suggest it's an exterior, but then the balcony that leads right to them suggest interior. I put a small roof on one section (not in these photos) and that makes it even MORE confusing. Plus -- what is it? It's not a library or an inn, it's not a guildhall. There's a bedroom, and what looks like some kind of waiting room. And those ruins. Could be some crazy private residence. But I kinda like thinking of it as a national park, with offices and maybe some fantasy museum of sorts. I should stock it accordingly.

Anyhoo, whatever it is, I REALLY like this setup. I am gonna keep tweaking it, and stock it somehow to give it a coherent identity. And I also hope to get some better pics, too. But enjoy these!

starting to feel like the coolest element in the MBES is definitely the railing piece -- these just make anything zing...

Here are newer shots, a little more gussied up ruins, and a roof on the piece. And more furniture.

I really like the look of the new columns. I definitely wanted wooden beams for the MBS, and I still think wooden supports would look great, but these stone ones do lend things a really cool look. They're very "sub-dungeon" looking, and they work fantastically for support...

That strikes me as a ruin that someone has moved into, then built a structure for comfort and/or privacy.

Might be a wizard who wants to live near a focus of power, or a cleric who maintains a lost temple, or a warrior who is waiting to deal with anything that crawls out of the extensive dungeons below. It could be a training ground for novice adventurers, or it might be a lookout post built on an ancient fortress.

Lots of good options for a very creative set-up.

I really like the section stacked narrow passages.

You know, the " out side deck can easily be considered an outdoor balcony. You put a roof on one section to show that it is covered. The rest can be assumed to be covered but with a cut away look for gaming purposes. Oh yeah, the ruins being outside also. I agree though. Some one here has set up house to better explore some great secret at their leisure. They seem to entertain " guests " as well.... mu hahahahahaha....
