I wanted to come up with a neat name for this setup, which I suppose is a guild HQ of some kind. But it just wasn't coming to me. In any case, it's essentially a large library with a place to sleep upstairs and a balcony for performers to play soothing study music (also shown: a vanishing mage and the outside of the place)...and here are the pics...

L;

That is just too FREAKIN' AWESOME!
I Love the bookshelves; Grendel, or someone else's?
But the entire setup is PERFECT for a Guild HQ. If you have TileSystem, what you should do is generate a map and parts list for it, so you can duplicate it whenever you need to set it up for a game.

Just FANTASTIC, man.

Oh, and you can make out one of the converted Fenryll bookshelves in some of these pics -- I added a cabinet, since the giant globe in the middle would look out of place in the center of every bookshelf in the place...

Okay, Fenryll, not Grendel.
Now I just need to find a Fenryll source; I know Discount Hobby USED to carry them, but I don't know if they still do. I'll have to check.

Hey, that's funny -- I was writing my remark as you were asking your question, I didn't see that before I posted!

Anyhoo, yes that's Fenryll -- and I got mine from discounthobby, so you might be lucky there. It was recently, too.

It does feel like you have to move quick with these things -- at a moment's notice, it might be near-impossible to find good terrain accessories. I already regret passing on some Grendel stuff that Discounthobby no longer carries. And that's just about the only stuff that miniaturemarket DOESN'T have. They, at least, are a great Rackham source.

Ah well. Glad you liked the pics!

Very nice (as always), L. I particularly liked the clear resin casts of the wizard (sorcerer?), very good for invisible characters. I'd wanted to get the Invisible Frodo from GW (I have a halfling ninja PC in my campaign), but they tend to go high on eBay.

Thanks -- those clear resin pieces are from GS, who sent me them in trade for some other minis. I had no idea he was sending them, they were just a neat bonus!

Yeah, this is the "small" one I cast for you L, but was still tacky when i sent the package out.

But Kradlo if you think the little guy on the right would work for a Invisible Halfling (or any other Small creature, I use it for my Kobold) in place of an over priced GW mini let me know. I liked the idea of the GW one as well but was horrified at the price and started looking for other answers. A large chunk of the party goes invis in the game i DM. So i wanted minis to represent the characters. Plain bases were just boring... ;)

Oh and L, great shots in all of the set ups you have been posting recently. I still have two more set ups i want to do for the Contest, and paintign to get the parts ready is taking yonks. so i haven't been able to really play with the MBS expansion. Though if i have enough time there will be one using it just not sure i'll get it done in time.

Can you post what you used to create the molds and cast the figures? I want to try my hand at a few "ghosts" and some invisible characters. Thanks in advance.
