Returning home from their recent crusade in the Gothic sector an Inquisitorial cruiser was set upon by the chaos warship Destruction Rising. Launching its boarding ships with World Eater Chaos space marines the small Inquisitorial force of storm troopers and Grey Knights braced to repel the boarders.

Slamming into the second deck of the Imperial ship the traitor marines quickly disembarked and made their way to the bridge where they encountered heavy resistance lead by the Inquisitor Lord Dabuke.

Fighting was close combat and fierce with no quarter given as the World Eaters blasted away with bolt pistol and hacked with chain sword felling all who stood in their way…

Guild, good to hear from you. Into the Sci-fi for now to play some smaller 40K battles and Space Hulk like stuff...but I know it is only a matter of time before I get into the dungeon sets for D&D. Esp. with all the new D&D miniatures and how much fun it was up at your place with C's sets.

I shudder to think of what your D&D mini's and DF sets must number at this point...

Fritz, Harneloot;

I just sent the Game Room chair for Shore Leave 29 the link to this thread, and suggested he send you guys an invite to Shore Leave.
Joe is one of the founders of the Battle Bunker here at GW USA HQ, and he is an AWESOME 40K gamer! In fact, he is the one who got ME into gaming, including DF collecting (although he has none; he just plays in MY mazes!).
I am tendering my own invitation to you guys; unfortunately, I have heard that the Hunt Valley Inn (the convention hotel) is sold out for rooms in our block, but there are quite a few other hotels nearby, and most of them have better prices available for Shore Leave weekend - July 13-15, 2007.
I've posted elsewhere her on the DF forum about Shore Leave, but I will include the link to the Shore Leave Web page again, just to be sure:

http://www.shore-leave.com/

will take you directly there. I'm the Saturday D&D DM, and I will NOT tell you what's in store for you if you game, except this:

Hang on to your hats, gentlemen, and fasten your seat belts; it's going to be a bumpy ride!

WHEEE!!!!!!!

Jim...

I've been all over that site and can't find any reference to your Saturday mega-game...

Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

JGF -

They NEVER mention ANY particular games, because

1.)The committee are not gamers.
2.)They never know when the game will start or end, even though we've done a Saturday D&D monster game EVERY YEAR for the past 6!
3.)Gaming is not the big draw at Shore Leave - YET! And they're hoping it never is.

But believe me, it WILL happen; just PRAY that Joe doesn't decide to kick me out and run it himself. Joe is an excellent DM, but he can be . . . excessively EEEVILLLLL. And warped, so warped he could power the Starship Enterprise. And twisted, like a pretzel.

See ya there?
