Okay... just got my Med. Build. Set, and it is so cool... so I had to set it up and snap a few quick shots. Apologies for the crummy photography, as my lighting wasn't great. But the set is really great, and I run enough town encounters to really make it a valuable addition to my game. All the kind words of praise written in the forum about it are true - definately a beautiful piece of work!

It's not a dungeon. It's an Underground Fortified Defense Installation.

Nice!

The Grendel pieces I recognize, but where are those great stairs from?

I might be wrong, but it looks like one set. This time next week I shall hopefully have the two I ordered, but nowhere near all that nice Grendel etc set dressing.

Thanks for the nice comments -

Yes, its only one set, though I did use two extra floor tiles from a box of 5 I picked up as well (never hurts to have just a couple extra pieces, after all.) And I think the stairs are also Grendel, but an older offering, though I'm probably mistaken - could be somebody else. The well that's outside (and barely pictured) is Armorcast, worth mentioning just becuase it's such a wonderful piece, even if I didn't get a decent shot of it in there. Now I'm really looking forward to the expansion set!

stoat--you have the Harlequin Red Dragon Inn stairs! Awesome! I just picked up a set on eBay several months ago. I was also fortunate enough to pick up the "Gaming Room Accessories" too! Can't remember if that's exactly what they were called, but I'm painting them up as we speak. Gotta' love the Wheel of Misfortune. ;-}~

In case anybody was wondering about stoat's stairs, they were produced by Harlequin Miniatures in their "Fantasy" range. They put out some really nice resin pieces that are comparible to Grendel--same excellent detail and quality materials. I've been trying to hunt more of their stuff down for years and only recently got lucky with the purchases I just mentioned above.

Excellent setup. Keep sending the pics!

Stoat, where did you get those rugs in the second pic?

Gorgeous set-up, by the way.

Maybe I should have put the compliment before the question. ;)

For those of you with decent printers, check out this site where you can print off a bunch of different Persian style rugs: www.miniature.net/smallstuff/rugs.htm

Thank you all again for the commpliments -

Dante - thanks for the correct producer of those stairs - yes, they are really cool, and I've had them past long enough to forget the maker. I've got the wheel of misfortune as well, tho' mine came to me used and a bit battered. Hope you noticed the beetle races in pic #6...

The pile of rugs are from the fantasy bazaar set by grendel; the loose red rug is a grenadier piece in lead that came as a flying carpet with a wizard who sat cross-legged upon it. This is the first time I've put the pieces together, and I was pleased at how well they worked - give them a decent merchant, and voila! (Now I need to paint up a decent merchant...)
