I really hate people who can paint that good, it's so damned annoying when I log off and look at my half-ars@d attempts!

Very impressed paintjob, fella!

Great paint job! It will look great with the new set coming. What other pieces are you working on?

Thanks for the kind words, guys!

I'm working on many varietals of demon -- going through Reaper's "archives," all the older demon figs I never got around to picking up. I did once get the Court of Abyst, but it was my first time back painting in a decade, and I really messed them up. Now, they're getting re-released singly, and I'm gonna go through them one by one to take another shot at it.

I've also grabbed more recent Reaper demons -- the ones that move away from the traditional "bat wings and goat horns" look into the more odd "fat guy screaming" and "toadman" look. The giant toad demon monster that Reaper does (www.reapermini.com/gallery/2600s/2684_G) is great, since it works for DoE and for the cavernous water sets. I like the image of players delving deeper and deeper into the dark, and stumbling across this monstrosity sitting by the edge of the water...

I've got some GW demons, too, that I snagged -- pretty happy with them. I grabbed a demon lord with a store discount, and four Flamers of Tzeench -- the last ones are all up at CMON, if you look up "Law" Two are up, anyway, and two should go up soon.

If you still have the old figures, you can clean them down to the metal with out damaging them by soaking them in Nitro-Mors for about 20 mins and cleaning them off under cold water with a toothbrush. (Just don't do it in a plastic sink!) A good way to save a coupla quid.

GENERAL DISCLAIMER - DO NOT ATTEMPT ON PLASTIC or RESIN MODELS - THEY WILL DISSOLVE

OOooohhh!

Sounds like the perfect effect for "after the black dragon attacked" plasticrack minis!

Where can I pick up Nitro Mors from?

I usually strip my minis with PineSol, though it can soften plastics. I have no idea how it is on resin - test something you don't mind losing first, I'd say.

But for metal minis, it works great, and it's nontoxic. Brake fluid works well, I'm told, but can be a bit toxic (don't gargle with it!).

Floquil/PolyScale makes something called ELO, for Easy Lift-Off. Any good hobby shop Stateside, and probalby a lot of overseas ones, will have it.
Floquil claims it WILL NOT AFFECT PLASTIC. I bought some for a Leif Ericsson I picked up and want to repaint, and although I haven't had a chnce to test it out yet, I'm not worried about it. After all, they make this stuff for model railroaders - and if you think WE'RE evil when angered, you've never been to a Train Show! Some of those guys have been known to use HAMMERS on each other! REAL ONES! Like Dwarves do.
I do NOT argue with those people.
Anyway, I'd think ELO would be safe on all of our goodies. Anybody out there know for sure?
