You did a lot of bumps !
Anyway this topic is only for those who can do it themselves. (time and dexterity)
For other we have now half bow ties but the result is ....well...pretty bad ! (check some of my photos)
The holes are sometimes too huge and you have the impression the half bow tie is floating sometimes it suits perfectly (rare) and most of the time there isn't enough space you have to cut the border !
The colour isn't the same too, more you got a old dunjeon set more the grey is too clear with the half bow tie....
By the way since I'm talking about colours, the chasm set/lake sets have different colour than cavern sets one.

As someone with a lot of older sets. This is a handy thread.
I have only used the boy ties once, in over 8 years. Once was enough to make me realise they were not needed. Yes if someone bumps into the table, then it could move. But if a layout got clouted with enough force to move the entire layout, well frankly the bow ties connectors were not going to hold it togather.

So, I have always just put up with the fact the holes are there and ignored them. However I do think the pieces look better without them. So I shall be having a go at infilling them.

The filling in, is not the part that concerns me. It is getting the paint to look right and match in the end. A paint list of Vallejo Model colour equivalents to those older GWs (or even the newer GW variants) would be rather handy.

If anyone has the knowledge..
