This is my first proper attempt to use DF as I have just gone out and impoverished myself by buying four sets. What you see here is mainly Room & Passage Set, Room Set & both Wicked Additions, with a few extra corners (and I still need more dammit!!!) and a set of Alcoves. The figures are mainly old Citadel & Ral Partha Runequest figs with a few plastic D&D figs lurking around the edges. This is the start of a small temple complex I am planning in the big rubble.

I have a few modelling plans in the pipeline, mainly a hardboard & pvc based sewer addon and some rubble strewn tiles (when my next room set arrives in at some point the new year). I'm also toying with the idea of making some sort of block system to allow me to make some more stable multi-level dungeons.

Very nice! I really like your photography -- very crisp, clean images. And the setup is pretty snazzy, too!

Very nice set up, especially with only 4 sets! Did you use the TileSystem program or just kind of trial-and-error to figure it out?

I like the statue as well - where is it from?

Really nice. The statue has to be from one of the Lord of the Rings sets right? I love the picture with the party of three on the way down. The spider lurking just out of sight. Very good.

I like the old RuneQuest figures. I noted a Jack-o-Bear, a Walktapus, and a Dragon Snail! Neat seeing those old figures again.

Cool setup. You're definitely one of us now. :D

Nice! I was wondering about that snail. The only thing I could think of was a flail snail.

Thanks for the comments guys,

The key to the photographs, L, was investing in an inexpensive tripod, you can pick up a good one from Jessops in the UK for about a tenner, I'm sure there is something similar in the States. It is worth the investment, particularly for model shops. The camera, one of the best I have owned to date, believe it or not, is a budget model I bought from Tesco for £30 last Xmas.

In answer to harnaloot, I just use trial and error, all though I have put together a very basic tileset for the, now sadly defunct, Dungeoncrafter program. I do enjoy the hands on approach though, I'm finding a tendecy to sit down with DF & a notepad, create the layout add jot down a few notes, before copying the map onto the PC and writing up the dungeon.

I'm just about to embark on a new RQ campaign using the new edition by Mongoose. It's not a bad little system after the usual teething problems with any new system/edition, although opinion's divided!

Welcome Charliemonster,

A nice good old fashioned setup! We don't see many like that anymore, you have managed to make a fine setup with a medium amount of stuff.

Have fun and welcome aboard!
