I picked up this fountain for use with 1:32 scale WWII items, but it works REALLY well with DF, so I painted it up (months ago) to match the general color scheme of DF. This was before MBS even existed, so it turned out to be quite lucky for me.

While rearranging things, I stumbled across the fountain, so I re-organized my township and placed the fountain in the middle of town square. I also enclosed the waterways in walls, to suggest a kind of moutain-side township, with a river flowing into the mountain... where a lonely woman watches the water and waits....

That's a really great looking piece. I have too many fountains now as is, but man is that a good looking piece.

L,
Is that from 21st Century Toys? Great idea to use that in your township.

L,

One minor criticism; you might want to pour some clear resin of some kind in the fountain, to serve as water. Unless your camera or the camera angle hid it, the poor fountain is dry, and that's NOT a good way to keep a town alive!
Envirotex makes a self-leveling, cold-pour water resin. Woodland Scenics makes a stove-top melt resin that pours out of the saucepan and is self-leveling. Obviously, you WILL want to test first for either one, but if one of them will work, it will be the finishing touch. If neither is good for the fountain, then you can always layer Gloss Medium Gel into the fountain, letting it dry between coats, until it's deep enough for you.
Just a thought; as I told GS about his straw-covered DF pieces, it's YOUR stuff! Do what YOU want, please. Okay?

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, leave some turkey for everyone else, and remember WHY we call it Thanksgiving.

See ya!

Thanks, guys! You know, there is a TINY amount of water in the fountain -- I used the Envirotex stuff I use for water effects elsewhere.

I left it kinda dry because this is primarily an accessory for my 1:32 WWII stuff, and ruined townships with tanks rolling around them...they just feel like the fountain should be dry, you know? But maybe I'll fill it up more one of these days...

And good guess about 21CT, Dungeoneer, but it is actually a different company, a small one whose name escapes me at the moment. It does look a TON like the 1:18 scale fountain 21CT did awhile back, though. That was overpriced, but a great item, and a great base for customizing with a slightly better paint job and some water effects. I never did any of that, but I mean to one day...

Yea, I was going to get that 21st century 1:18 fountain before, but I didn't. However, I have the 1:18 Tiger tank 1 and the M4 Sherman s1 and the Farm house and the Panther s1. Great stuff, especially with use with old 1980's GI joe figures (Snake eyes, Firefly era...ect) I never thought that 1:32 scale could be used with 25-28mm stuff. Fantastic L !
