Thoth;

IF the pics are still up of my castle I scratch-built WAY BACK WHEN, check out the roof I did for the top level. It will give you some ideas on how to do roofs for your own buildings.
It's really not as difficult as my example shows; that one was just a case of "I can do this, so I'm going to make it as fancy as I can without going TOTALLY INSANE" - which didn't work anyway; I'm already totally insane.

Using styrene strip, sheet, and tile and plank sheet styrene, you can duplicate ANY roof style. And it will be a LOT lighter than an equivalent resin piece!
So, try it; you might like it.

See ya!

Jim - I'll check it out. My youngest son (age 10) just suggested to me that we could do roofs from popsicle sticks! lol...guess it could work eh? Anyway he is digging the set so much I've hardly had a chance to build anything with it yet....

Popsicle sticks will definitely give a wooden roof - and you can glue 'em up with Elmers!

It might even look more prototypical!
It's just that I hate working with wood; probably because I spent 6 years in a furniture shop, inhaling particle board fumes (ah, formaldehyde; I can pickle my brains, too!).

Anyway, Junior is right. And if you prefer wood to plastic, GO FOR IT. After all, this IS a hobby, and hobbies consist of doing what you LIKE to do, regardless of how much work it is.

It's just that I'm very comfortable with plastic, so that's what I tend to use. No big deal.

I WOULD love to see pics when finished.

See ya!
