big enough to have to be posted in two parts...

the other half...

and just so there's no mistaking who this cavern belongs to...

need to add the various bits like stalgmites, rock piles, mithril clusters, etc. and get the treasure and magic items set, after all, he needs a hoard.

*thud*

That's pretty freaking impressive. Dare I ask how many sets are involved? It seems like at least 3 lake sets, judging from the amount of complete lakes you managed to build. Maybe only two? And cavern sets - again, it seems like 3.

The great thing about the caverns, IMHO, is that they really reward huge setups like this. The MBS, even the regular dungeon sets -- after awhile, it's gonna get repetitive. You ask yourself, after awhile, "Is it really that much worse to build half of this, take it apart, and build the other half when it's needed? What's the real advantage of having the whole thing out at once?"

But with caverns -- nope, it just isn't like that. It's not 60 rooms, which could have easily been 30 and then another 30. It's one HUGE space, and there's no substitute for having the whole cavernous expanse out there in one shot.

Man, that'd be a fun space to game. Just picturing these massive armies colliding in there, or just some kidn of desperate sprint, heroes trying to get from point A to point B in that huge layout before ... the inevitable...

that's 6 caverns, three rivers, two lakes, and two cavernous passages. well, bits of all those, at any rate.

note to self, i need more 4x4 cavern floors. and straight walls. :D

Good looking set-up.
Huge, but good looking.

It will be even more interesting to see once you get the other pieces you mentioned in the pic posting.

Incredible!! I would love to be able to make a huge dragon's lair like this. Just 4 more caverns and two passage. LOL... Oye...! I like the Gargantuan Black Dragon, I imagine the lake there being very deep so's he " or she " can sink from sight awaiting just the right line up from our brave band of adventurers.

Absolutely awesome!!!!!
Just shows what can be done with plenty of space and a dozen DF Cavern - line sets. I particularly like your 4, back to back, complex caver corners in the centre of a cavern room - it breaks the room up while providing a mini beast den for evil critters to emerge from/flee to!
