GS,

That is some exceptional story-telling!

Although brief, I really enjoyed the overall plot.
It has a scope and a degree of intrigue that I recall being some of the many reasons why I enjoyed the Thraw n series so much.

Needless to say, I thought those books were absolutely amazing.

I wish i had the time to get back to the more detailed plot sysnopsis i used to do, but a period of about a month and a half where real world concerns pressed heavily on my time just made it so i kept putting it off, then we had next weeks game, and that one got behind... there was a point where i didn't even give out XP totals for three session, (i told the guys who leveled they had leveled, but i was just so busy i never wrote it up and gave it out to them)...

But i think Tommorrow session will be the end of Season 3.

The 19th will be the start of Season 4, the last, and shortest season. We are ending this campaign at the End of October. One of the guys has to drop out, and for the past two months the cmp. Could have been over, but we were having fun with it. I have Never GMed/DMed a group of characters to this level (14), nor gotten so close to actually Finishing a cmp, completing the whole thing with out it falling apart and starting over, while we have had a few new faces, and there are only two orignal party members out of the 5 it will be a first for me to actually complete a cmp.. Having it run from start to finish from the first planned adventure to actually reaching the climactic fight.

We could have done the climax fight any time within the past two months but they wanted to do more so i created a side arch in the cmp. and they have gone on that for a bit, but with the guy playing Huego starting some classes in November he will be out and i want to finish it with out drawing a new player into the climax of a cmp., i have tried it and it is typically very BAD to the cmp. So we will be wraping up.

I have to say i am actually very happy with this game, i spent a lot of time thinking about what worked in games i enjoyed playing in as a PC and DM, and what didn't. I then tried to create a long over arching plot, that i spent a lot of time on to make it seem kind of Star Warseze but new and different and not just another Super Weapon of the Month club (although there is a bit of a SW in it... ;) youi just can't get away from it in SW...) with info that will come up in the end that was discovered in the very begining being important and relivant, to connect the start to the end, and to make things so that the PC's will utilise the characters skills and abilites. And i wanted to make the PC's care about what was going on with out being heavy handed, as well as showing them what they have done in the galaxy on a large scale level and more personal (some of the people they enter acted with cropping up here and there from time to time, and some re-occuring contacts etc).

I hope to after i get a bit more time to flesh out the write ups...

Season 3 Episode 319 (?) - Reckonings
Original Airdate:
May 16, 2006
Staring: Ashla, and Heugo, Val, Ro’hana Oba T6, and THI-1138 Featuring, Lord Tormino, The Tembus, Loads of Troopers, THI-1139, THI-1140, and THI-1141

Val is in poor shape, so the Crew of the Dark Mystic rest up and explore this ancient Sith edifice. It appears to have been a place of study or library. The extra copies of the "knock off" Holocrons are similiar to primers, they give introductory information but have little in the area of more detailed information. The area has a minor taint of the Darkside to it, and it appear that in this location some horrible Sith Alchemy was preformed to warp and twist creatures to some diabolical end...

After resting up, they head down stairs and out through the front door, upon leaving the Force Users detect a dark malovolent force tracking them. It stalks them for an hour bearing down on them untill it comes into view.

None of them know what it is*, but it stares intently at the Jedi, and growls deeply, ignoring anything that does not use the force..

Val darts forward and pulls forth his blaster letting a string of bolts tear into the creature, with amazing agility it dances about and the bolts don't seem to phase it. But with an intelligence of more than just animal cunning, it moves to the left Ignoring Ashla for the moment to bite into Val, pulling him into it's gapping maw, and it appears to almost be trying to bait Ashla to come to it, almost as if it knows full well that if it approaches it will loose an advantage of getting in more than one swing at the deadlier opponent.

Ashla moves in as the creature begins to munch on Val, as Huego and Ro’hana send in ranged attacks. In a firece struggle where the creature spits Val out using him as a grenade like weapon to toss at Ro’hana it comes down to a do or die momment between Ashla and the creature. It is strong in the Force, and is clearly a creature spawned by the Dark side, it draws the life out of Ashla in some of it's attacks to heal itself, as well as turning some of the shots from Huego into healing energy... It seems almost unstopable as what should be damaging it, some times heals it, combined with it's natural tough hide that seems to deflect blaster bolts off makes it a feirce behmoth. And in the end Ashal resorts to fighting the creature while trapped inside it's mouth but turning down the length of her blade and using it that way.

Till in the end she drives her blade into the creatures brain from within it's own mouth.

After the creature is dispatched the palpable fealing of the darkside has lifted and the Mystic Crew trudge back to their fighters, and take a quick nap.

As they journey back to the Docking bay, the Tall Man parts company but agrees to join up with them in orbit, after he gets his ship cleared from the secruity empound that the planet has it under... (Huego blushes and stares intently at some fascinating bit of information on his computer screen). They com ahead to the Mystic but are suprised by THI answering the Com instead of T6, Looking over the view screen they see some blast marks about the cabin, and on THI. THI explains that T6 finally went off his rocker, while THI had known that the Odd little astromech had some personality quirks and had instilled some in the ships computer, THI would not allow the astromech to tamper with his programining or with the ships, and had been force to defend himself from the "crazed" droid. The Mystic crew almost felt relief that the at times dangerously unstable T6 was now out of commision, and THI was now looked upon favorably. Heugo cleared time in his scheduale during the flight to do a full memory scan, (to see if T6 had stored any backups of itself anywhere), then a wipe of all effected systems., as they pulled into the bay.

So the Mystic crew lands their fighters in the converted Cargo bays and enter the ship, they knew something was up from the transmission from THI, but there was something else, Val sensed something was missing, the usually chitter chatter of the Jawa mechanics as they went about the ship was gone, as well as the sounds of Huego's droids moving about the corridors. Ashla noticed there were blaster marks in this area of the ship which didn't seem to jive with THI's statements of how the fight with T6 had gone. And as they headed towards the Bridge they saw THI standing amoungst broken droid bits of all of the Ships Astromechs not just T6, and a dead Jawa. THI was sporting a blaster and waving to those on the otherside of the locked door.

A battle errupted as THI appeared to be taking over the ship, Ashla and Val headed forward, Val planning to go bellow decks and secrure the secondary engine and check on the Jawas, Huego went aft after seeing Another THI moving about in the main engine area behind him, while Ashla and Ro’hana fought the Sith Troops and the Sith Lord they had fought on Ryloth, who was back and working in league with the Droid that had been supplied to them by the Master on the Jedi Council who had said he had cut Tormino off from the force.

As Ashla strikes down the Dark Lord, and Val peers down into the lower deck to litterly see it swarming with troopers, Huego fights off Two THI droids in the engine room as bombs count down on the engine power couplings, a warning light goes off on the flight deck, as something is fiddling with the landing gear...

TO BE CONTINUED...
