Deep in the mountains of Bavaria…there is an old castle.

That hides an experiment in madness…

The Laboratory of Baron von Frankenstein.

*thunder crashing*

“Yessss…”

“It’s Veeerking…”

“It’s Alive!”

*heavy ruff breathing*

“Frankunstein…”

“Hurrrrrr….Hurrrrr….Hurrrrrrrrrrrr…HURRRRRRRRRR!”

“No Frankunstein...”

“Nooooooooooo……”

*enter dramatic classical music*

Thanks for the repost - I recall this setup being excellent, but I'd forgotten just how excellent!

"My Name Is Frankenstein!"

I can hear Gene Wilder now, screaming that to the crowd.

I can also hear Madeline Kahn's response to Peter Boyle (snicker, snicker!).

Oh, boy. . .

Great job, IO.

See ya!

IO

Truly unbelievable!!! You always do the "classics" justice.

I do have a question though...

Are those rooftops scrach-built or are they MBA?

If they are "scratch", do you have any suggestions for someone interested in building some?

Wereweasel;

Dunno what IO is going to tell you, but here's my bad nickel's wroth:

Start with an ACCURATE sketch of what your roof is going over. Use .080 styrene as a base layer, glue Evergreen or Plastruct planked sheet on the underside (as roof planking), and on top, Plastruct roof tile sheet. It's usually best to lay out your .080 to the profile of each side (peaked, pointed, lean-to, mansard[barn-style], etc.) and cut it BEFORE adding either face. REMEMBER to cut an individual row strip of tiles for each tile-to-tile joint, to cover the actual joint in the plastic pieces.
For internal framing, use either pre-cut Plastruct or Evergreen strips, or cut them yourself. DO NOT DO what I did and almost forget to cut any, then not have an accurate roof for my castle.
I have to go downstairs now and take lots of pics of both my Armorcast buildings, and the roof I'm describing, because I promised someone here (I think it was M. Tom, from France) that I would post the pics this weekend, and it's already 6 PM Sunday! I'll also post the roof pics so you can see what I'm talking aobut.

See ya!
