Sorry I can not tell a lie...

Hey for $5 i couldn't pass it up... the darn thing scares cats and dogs it is so big...

I suppose I can't talk. I actually own a copy of the movie, though in fairness it came with a boxed set with a bunch of real Godzilla movies.

As for the WOTC red dragon, I have to admit I'm a little underwhelmed. I'm hoping that will change when I see it up close (especially since I preordered.) I also read that it's on an 8"x8" base, which is weird since the Monster Manual lists it as being on a 6"x6" base (these things matter in the world of D&D 3.5). However, the base will have squares on two sides to allow characters to move on the base, which makes the space the creature takes up 6"x6". Very strange.

But in honesty the price may be justified, a McToy yeah costs $10, but they DO fall apart rather easily, the last set i bought only one, and one of the arms has already fallen off of it just sitting on a shelf. The others have held up better but the plastic and construction of the McToys is pretty shoddy, they (and McFarlane has said it publicly) that they aren't toys they are really designed to sit in the package and not be taken out and used they are for the collectors. They can take sitting on a desk but arn't made for rough handeling, if you do bits will break off.

The production quality in the WoTC CR is probably worth "50", maybe $75 (with the rising cost of petrolium which is what plastic is made out of ) they may need to charge 75... i probably would not buy one at $50, just no draw with it, but i think it looks nice.

Hey, YC!

So, what's the matter w/Gojira? I thin kit was better than the original; at least it made SOME sense. I know, I know, the original Japanese flick w/Raymond Burr was the ORIGINAL, but that doesn't mean it's the best. Look at BattleStar Galactica, the original and the Sci-Fi channel re-do. Isn't the new one better?

HEY! Don't point that blaster gun at ME! Stop!

NO!

hehe, i have dragged this off course with Godzilla/Gojira.

I take the Devlin/Devlin version as a friend of mine in Grad School said.
He looked at it as just another daikaiju movie, which it was pretty good version of, but it wasn't Godzilla, just an american version of daikaiju. And he was very happy with it. He was a huge Godzilla and Gaint Monster movie fan.

For me That Godzilla has always been my choice of Collosla anything (unless there is a very patient cat handy, but they tend to swat at the minis when it isn't the beasts turn to act...)
