Hallo, i am back from a long absent. I have bean yearning for DF new sets specially Dungeon of evil which my flags cant take home since i live in sweden and i cant order since i have forgott my Pay Ball password and they require me to send in personal information about my self whit mail which is to much of an effort :/ . But i will ge through it when the new wattery cave comes :). In my waiting i decided to make something DF probobly will never do, and since most of my adventuers is in Xendrik(egyptian/inka) types of dungeons i decided to make it my self. I made it out of foam and grendel resin and all in all it cost me about 10$ and 3days of (16h) work. I tried to make it as modular as possible and put time in carving the foam and pressed it to make it look like stone. I painted it in 5 easy steps (black/ brown/ light brown *2/ white and light brown). The grendel resin was orginaly ment to be usead in a single pease but i took time to carv the resin (whit a dentiest drill litterary) and glued foam to some pieces to support them. In this pictueres benath i have dicplayed some snake looking grendel dungeon decoration, I sprayed them white and painted them whit vermin brown (GW color) and drybrushed whit rotting flesh (grean, yeallow, very white) and painted the gold parts whit tinbits, dwarven bronze, burnished gold, shining gold, mithral silver. and the whater was midnight blue which was higlighted whit ligthning bolt blue and white.

I have posted the pics at Max minis also

hope you like it:)

I think I've been missing your incredible artwork with the minis... wow!!! Am I seeing D&D plastic minis re-painted..? I think I can see from every expansion set!!! even harbinger.... that ember, monk is from harbinger??

Perhaps some of them are older metal versions that WotC have re-used for plastic skirmish minis? That Stalwart paladin is amazing... are there some modified? is that a greenfang druid? an inspiring marshall? Bladesinger? Aramil adventurer? Half-Orc Barbarian? but but... are those yuan-ti halfblood modified?? And that is not an Orc druid... is it?!?! o.O?

The large figures are amazing but what makes me mad are the common figures from old expansions, ugly in the plastic version... but now appear simply beautiful to me!!! And the list goes on...

Man, what a view!!! Congratulations!

Excellent paint jobs. I am especially impressed on how great the DDM can look. Nice conversions of Yuan Ti half bloods from archers to melee ready. YOu put out a great gaming table.

Hawkmoon!

Two questions:
1. Did I see a Chaos Space Marine minus powerpack in there, wielding a BIG sword?
2. Was that some kind of Electric Elemental in that last sequence? the one that looks like a lightning bolt, frozen in time? It's GOT to be either that, or a VERY displeased Water elemental!
Either way, sir, you have got some truly ROCKIN" miniatures!
'Stoo bad it's so hard to get DF there in Sweden, but then again, as you said, DF doesn't do a lot of Egypt/Inca work, although you COULD use the Mater Maze stuff, even if you had to repaint it to a more sand- or sandstone-colored format. Think about that. So many people here on the forum seem terrified to repaint DF; as long as you put a clear coat on first (semi-gloss Model Master Acrylic works great!), you can use tempera color (like the stuff kids use in kindergarten class) and paint to your hearts content! It washes right off with a little dish soap and a scrub brush. I posted a before/after thread here somewhere, probably somewhere in Cool Photos.

See ya!
