Stefan;

That "thump, thump" you hear up there in NYC is me, down here in Baltimore, jumping up and down and yelling, "Me Too! Me Too!" about those curved fillers.
AND I will pay a good price for a mini-kit set with curved fillers, force-field doors with a different color, to go along with someone else's post regarding that idea, and additional 4x6 or 6x6 floors.

In fact, how's this sound for a package list; almost everythihg except the fillers and the re-colored doors is stock:

1 - 4"x6" floor (solid OR hatch plate, either one)
1 - 6"x6" floor (same as above)
1 - ramp set
2 - power columns
2 - RED force-fields
2 - BLUE force-fields
2 - Open Round hatch floors
2 - Closed Round hatch floors
3 - inside-curved-passage floor fillers

Package that up for @$50 and ship me two of them, next week, or as soon as you can get them from China. The only 'sculpting' work in there would be the inside-curve fillers, which should be possible by taking the curved corner, remove the wall, and then notch the wall-edge for the gas cylinder that's set into the inside curve of the passage wall.
Beyond that, IF the Chinese factory is making the force-fields the way I would make them, it is only a matter of spraying them with the different colors from the current, Green fade-in paint.

Thoughts, anyone?

See ya!

Sorry Jim, but I am hoping for the filler pieces [+, T & )] to be in a soon to arrive furnishings set (Gamma?).
Everything other than the "red & blue force doors" can be acquired otherwise so I am not hip on putting them in a second set, yet.
Then again, I do not play any games that have force doors so I am sorry I cannot be an enthusiastic supporter of them.
It is great that Beta has four more door frames though; I just use doors from cardstock sets like Ebbles for them.

"'Gamma' for Christmas!" could be a great jingle.
How about it?

Jim, Do you realize that your list is basically an Alpha set minus 2 power columns plus the filler stuff? I'd have to agree with RF, the pieces from Alpha probably shouldn't be combined with the filler pieces. And I agree with him that putting the filler with furnishings makes a lot of sense (to me anyways). They are both something that someone who has bought Sci-Fi sets already are probably wanting. Although in the future, I hope DF takes a page from what they did with the curved floor pieces in Beta and put the filler in the set with the piece that needs filling. So my list for 'Gamma' would be:

4 - force-fields (consisting of 2 or more different colors, not green)
3 - inside-curved-passage floor fillers
3 - outside-curved-passage floor fillers
4 - X-intersection fillers
2 - T-intersection fillers
2 - Computer console in different style from Beta
? - other furnishings (armory? quarters? command? engineering?)

The outside-curve filler is probably less useful than the inside-curve filler, but needed in my opinion.

I'd also be ok if the force-fields were clear so we could give them a light paint job of our own (rather than painting over the green or trying to strip it).

RF -

How about that old favorite,

"Gamma Came From Carbondale For Christmas", to the tune of "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer"?

And, in answer to Fiddy, No, to be honest, I didn't realize that until you mentioned it, but yeah, you're right. YOUR list is MUCH better, and I will give my support to it from now on.
I once built 6" walls for Sci-Fi (now that we've got REAL ones, they're GONE!); now I'm thinking that perhaps the best way to get the outside and inside-curve fillers is to make my own, and they'll be right along in the next set!
And I have to agree on the computer console. Much as I appreciate Stefan doing the one we DO have, it needs improvement. I just hate to knock ANYTHING DF does, though, because I know how hard it is to create when people don't like what you design.
Stefan, look at it from this standpoint; your creativity-and-design batting average is somewhere in excess of .900; whaddaya want, egg in your beer? After all, EVERYONE gets a strikout ONCE in a while!
Or, as Jim Kirk once said in a San Francisco hospital ER, "One little mistake!"

See ya!
