Been running my Sunday gaming group through the Age of Worms Adventure path currently being published in Dungeon magazine. This is what I came up with for the first section of the "Caves of Erythnul". Finally found a use for the styrofoam packing containers that the DF tiles come in. Almost threw the foam away - I'm glad my packrat skills are L33T.

Stunned…

I’m stopping work to post here…

This set up is AMAZING!!!!

I love the floor tiles used vertically to make the awesomely deeeeeeeep gorge…and the winding descending path is outrageous.

The creativity on this one is way up there…

Too Cool

Great set-up!
Creative use of both the styro and the Cavern MM pieces, especially the cavern floor pieces.
That is as much Cavern MM that I wished I had.
Floor tiles have such great utility, but they sell out so quickly.

Hey Buggeye!

Maybe poor man in $$$, but RICH man in creativity! It shows ingenuity in using the package cases, and also the gridded Lexan and the FAT columns!
I just have ONE question:

How in 'ell did you get those floor tiles to stand on edge like that? Glue?? WOW!

IO, I think we're in t-r-o-u-b-l-e...

See ya!

eyepopping cool.

(my tiny littel tip - put some black or grey cloth over the boxes....I even think that some kind of moonwashed cloth will mix up extremly well with the cavern pieces)

and i also would like to know how you stopped the tiles from falling of the walls or is there a sign telling players not to touch or bring their minis close to it.

Very nicely done! I usually hate styrofoam, (except for packaging of course) but in that case they get a repreive...really like the "cliff" creation!

Shush you, I found out where we can get the dense, dark grey styrofoam. It's Dow Corning Cavitymaster?, called "Black Foam:, and you can get it at a place called Steel or Stiehl in Burnaby.

My hat for low density white styrofoam knows no bounds after being under the bondage of Melbourne Manor!

Blair;

THANKS for mentioning dark grey styrofoam; I'd never heard of it, and it sounds like it will be PERFECT!!! for gaming supports where multilevel access isn't a requirement. Y'know, things like your and IO's cliffsides and stuff like that.

Ya know, it's cooperation like this between gamers that really P!$$E$ OFF the nasty, evil, dog-in-the-manger, hog-it-all type game manufacturers. I'm sure everyone here knows the people I'm referring to, so I won't mention any names (covers Jeff and the gang against lawsuits; come to think of it, covers me, too!). That's just another reason WHY I love DF and their products so much.

Before you get too uncomfortable with this, Jeff, Stefan, and gang, let me just say that your attitude of cooperation and helping is something unfortunately rare in business today. I know I speak for just about everyone here when I say, "Thanks, guy; we 'preciate that."

Meanwhile, now I have to go check the Web and see who sells Dow Corning Cavitymaster locally, and how much it's going to set me back. Hey, I just thought of something; it'll be good for Sandy's HO railroad layout, too!

COOL! Multi-purpose modeling; whee!

See ya!
