IO, it's all stainless steel. Aluminum isn't very scratch resistant, and doesn't quite have the same sheen to it. I'm currently working on some low-carbon steel rooms with a rusty finish. Will post some pics when they're all done.

I'm not really into Sci-Fi gaming, but those are well cool! I could make those...

In my lunchtimes at work - I've got all the gear and the skills for making stuff from stainless, just never thought of those skills being useful for gaming. Maybe we should get into Sci-Fi gaming!

Everything you are asking about in the pics looks like they are of GW manufacture.
The human figures look like Necromunda Orlock gang members and such.
As far as the robot-looking thing I believe it is a modified titan from the old Space Marines/Titan Legion game system.
It may be a modified Warhound-class titan that now has a different head.

Yeah, I belive they are Orlocks, definately Necromuda.

Rabidfox, care to make another guess regarding the robot? You're running real cold on that one.

Since evidently the owner of the pic says I am wrong, go right ahead YC.
I never said I knew everything; I have just said I have been in gaming a very long time and have seen much of what is out there.

I don’t know if this is some kind of guess the miniature company game… so I won’t give away who is “currently” producing the miniature, but I think it’s a trick question because I believe this miniature was produced in the past by companies along the lines of The Fox’s guesses…

Anyway…

Hit: take a look at the miniature’s base…

It's a Warforged Titan from the D&D miniatures TMG. It's from the new Eberron campaign setting, and the Giants of Legend expansion pack.

I don't think anyone expects you to know everything about miniature origins, but we're used to you being able to peg most of them. I wouldn't have known what the other minis in the pics were. I guess I'm just a DDM junkie.

Well, I must admit YC, I am not a DDM junkie.
Actually, I have seen very few of these minis in the places I play.
The line just does not seem to be a real big seller in the Northern Rockies.
Then again, Mage Knight was not either.
Most of what I have seen of both lines is their pics and descriptions on-line.

I do wonder how close GW has looked at the "Warforged Titan" figure though.
The torso portion of the chassis is almost an exact match to the older Warhound-class titan.
Any name similarities there?
Plus, the head reminds me of some of the titan heads that GW made as extra bitz.
I wish I had a pic for y'all to compare from; you would then see what I do.

This figure makes me start to wonder if Hasbro/WOTC is "feeling their oats" and think they can take on GW in the justice system.
Other smaller American and Canadian companies felt they could, but failed miserably.

If it’s GW I’m sure they’ve got the clamps on the copyright…

But, if it a smaller maker, Hasbro/WOTC, may have just picked up the mold in their acquisitions…I have older metal versions of several of the new D&D miniature line.

I know I’ve seen this miniature before sold as a three or four piece metal min… I think it had a plastic base in the blister as well, indicating a newer manufacture.

I don’t know… Just trying to help…
