The Hutt Hit – an Interlude
Starring Ashla, Heugo, Xan, and Vance
Featuring T6-M9, Pangroba the Hutt, and Grak


Two of the regular players had to drop out for the month of December because of School, Finals, and general Holiday stuff, but we got two new players at the same time, so as not to through the new PC’s into the mix (I like to start PC’s at first, so they build a character, I have seen to many cases of when you start at higher levels building a very powerful character that is not at all organic and maximized for certain traits) and right in the middle of the plot, I wanted to work them in through a series of side adventures. Thus The Hutt Hit.

The side quest works out pretty nice, an upshot of the last adventure was that the PC’s ship The Dark Mystic was damaged, the parts they were going to use to fix the ship unfortunately flew away (they were on the Villain’s ship, which they failed to secure, by totally walking past it, and not even checking out), and it being full of troopers who later attacked the party while a skeleton crew, blew up there air speeder, and then took off, never receiving the all clear signal they high tailed it out of system... A GM’s happy day some bad guys survived and can now spread the tails of the PC’s. But in the fall out of everything was the PC’s ship was damaged, they had to limp to a near by planet for repairs…

The Dark Mystic lands on Azamat a small out of the way planet on the edge of Hutt Space and the Sith Empire. Ashla goes out looking for the needed parts but encounters resistance from every place she goes, she can’t go to the Sith for obvious reasons, and the other merchants turn cold when she can’t supply the proper contracts and paper work for the job she needs done, and no amount of intimidation, or bribes sway them. After trying several places, she heads into the local bar “The Pickled Mynock†, where she learns more information. Turns out two rival Hutt gangs (Botto’s and Pangroba’s) are in a turf dispute, the turf being the planets space ports, and ultimately the shadow market that goes through the port. The only real neutral ground is the Mynock, where non-partisan parties come for a drink, most of the other bars and cantinas have devolved into social clubs for one of the two factions. However as the gang war has heated up, and more and more locations are getting burned down, and the Hutts are looking to hire off planet muscle the neutral Mynock has gotten to have more and more of each faction presence until one side of the bar houses Botto’s crew and the other side is Pangroba’s, with the middle ground a still neutral. Both sides make contact with Ashla, looking to see where she stands in the mater if she has taken sides at all. In the process one of Botto’s enforcers wanders in, a big dumb Gamorean that is spoiling for a fight.



Ashla oddly doesn’t go all Obi-Wan on Gruth and the situation is resolved amicably. But Ashla has a contact in Pangroba’s outfit, Huego a sullistan mechanic in debt to the Hutt, and looking to get out of it, agrees to set up a meeting. Ashla is banking that Pangroba; a younger hutt is the one with the smaller organization and the one she can get more leverage with. Huego the next day brings her to the warehouse that Pangroba is meeting them at. During this some one on Botto’s side, Xan trails them there and offers up the location of the meeting to Botto’s organization for advancement. A raid is launched, while Ashla and Pangroba are bargaining,



Botto’s forces blow the door, and wound Pangroba, it slips out, on a repulsor sled, Heugo and Grak (Pangroba’s Major Domo) go with the Hutt while Ashla and a few of Pangroba’s remaining guards fight off Botto’s forces, and two of Pangroba’s pets.



Pangroba has Heugo contact Ashla, the Hutt needs to get off planet, wounded and with most of its retreats and boltholes compromised it wants to get out while it can. It has a ship, but I can’t get to it. If Ashla will get Pangroba to the ship it owns, the repairs can be done on board, and no fee will be charged for the work. So Ashla and Huego go out to get Pangroba, grabbing a speeder truck to load the fat slug into, fight off a squad of Mandalorians, and head for the docking port with the Chiestrudoni Da Sedroo Wie is berthed.



Getting on board they are attacked, by droids, seems Botto doesn’t want Pangroba leaving and got some droids on board the ship and fighting through the lower deck of crew quarters







They take the deck, but run into Xan who had followed them to the ship, fleeing the confrontation he goes to a higher deck, and is gunned down by the security devices on board.

Ashla, Pangroba, Huego, and Grak, head up one deck to hit the infirmary, and find that Botto has let loose some of Pangroba’s prized possessions, various creatures that had been kept on board in a private zoo. Some have killed each other, and Ashla fight one. In the infirmary they come across a dockhand that had been stuffed into a stasis pod when Botto’s crew boarded the ship. He joins up with Ashla while Huego takes a rest. Ashla and the dockhand explore this deck, running into a few more problems, and traps that Botto left.

Finally heading for the Bridge to lift off the valiant explores take the turbo lift to the deck the bridge is on.






Almost immediately off of the turbo lift was originally a check security checkpoint that it looks like some one had turned into a storage room, but since the computer is still operational in the room, it is quickly taken over by Huego, as he jacks into the computer.


As Ashla and Vance head forward to the sealed blast door,


Partially opening the door, just a crack, they toss a glow rod underneath, and the automated security guns open fire on it,. Huego access the camera for the corridor, and they see the corridor is full of droids, and a few more of the security guns, Heugo turns the guns against the droids, as the first few guns open up on the droids, two move to the rear and open the hatch to attack Vance.


While the Guns make short work of many of the droids in the hallway, Vance retreats, and Ashla come forward, and using the Force hurls the two in the door down the Hallway to smash into the bridge blast door.








With the Corridor clear, Ashla heads into it, and encounters a much large droid, that had been lurking in a room across the hall from the Hutt’s chamber,



In a fierce battle Ashla eventually overcomes the droid, and Pangroba and the rest move into the Audience chamber.

Huego taps into Pangroba’s security console and they see that the bridge is occupied by Madalorian Mercenaries.

The party feeling a little worn out, and run down, Vance suffering from some wounds from the Huge droid, are leery of a fight, especially on the bridge, not wanting to have stray shots damage important systems…
They contemplate gassing the crew, when in the end Pangroba makes the Mercs an offer they can’t refuse…

Ghenghis,

Man…you have so many cool Sci-Fi accessories. Are those are mostly Ainsty? I (we), should continue the thread on these and the Grendel Sci-Fi pieces. I’ve finished everything except the “Cargo Hold" crates. I’ll post as soon as I’m finished.

After that I’m thinking of painting all of our unpainted dungeon accessories at one time to hopefully get an even DF-like paintjob on the stonework across the lot. Their mostly the Grendel ones Tom has posted and a few others.

Anyway, nice setup! I like the long central corridor with the various quarters on each side. Great place for a Star Wars skirmish…:cool:

Thanks, i have been so trying to get more interesting setups going, i wanted to run the big droid down the hallway, but our Jedi was being somewhat annoying, he had been tossing the other droids around so, it would have been some what of a boring fight... so i had it stay in a room and fire at him... more fun for the droid.

There is all sorts of stuff, but yeah most of the "new" unpainted items are the Grendel/Scotia Kromek Nexus Interiors.
I broke down and bought the whole line, i wanted more stuff. There is a little Anisty, but actually not that much the Bunks, and the redddish lockers, the computer monitors as well as the flower petal things. Most is grendel or just random stuff ( a bit of Mageknight/Heroclicks and Mechwarrors stuff).

KNI-001 Airlocks (2), Doors (2), a Hatch and a Cargo Bay Door (not shown in any still painting then)
KNI-002 Computer Banks (2) and Holographic Projector, KNI-003 Navigation, Comm, Tac and Command Console, KNI-004 Power Generator, Regulator and Life Support, KNI-005 Cryogenic Chambers (6) and Control (1). and even KAO-001 Accessories Pack.
There are some scattered "Toys" as well. Some Galoob things, a number of random items from cheap things from the Dollar store, and some customized stuff, took a lot of random elements from some military sets and cut down the guns, and stuff to make power couplings or what not, i want some random background elements to spice up the background so it isn't so blah.


I wanted the bottle caps to be gun emplacements, since thursdya i have figured out how to do them so they look better (going to hack up some old Mechwarrior figures, take the guns, and mount them on something i was using for something else, now i have to make them for next time, but atleast i figured out what i want to do :) )
