I'd like to ask the members of this site if they would be willing to post some photo's of there playing area's. it doesnt matter to me whether they are star wars games or DnD or whatever. I would just like to have some idea's given to me of a good playing setup.

I am building a setup in my garage and am trying to sort of convert it into an area like Invincible Overlord plays in. Just curious as to what others have done.

Thanks.

there may be a thread like this in the Gaming Talk Forum, and the thread Pimp my Basement! by Yukon Cornelius not sure how many photos there are, but i know it is talked about in that one.

With the changes in the DF forums GS, maxwell may not be able to have folks post pics over there on the thread you mentioned.
Remember, you cannot post pics where ever one might like any more, especially with that new thumbnail feature.
Do not know why Jeff wants it that way, but that is the way it is.

I think this thread might be a just fine place to do so since I do not remember anyone posting pics over on the other thread.
That thread was mostly folks asking for updates as to YC's basement's conversion into a gameroom.

Max,

I have a finished basement that serves me well, except over the Christmas Holidays. That's when Sandy (the BETTER half of this team!) takes over the gaming table for her HO Christmas garden. I get it the other 10 months of the year.
It's a 4' x 8' table, however, it's a bit taller than the average table (43"), as it was originally intended as free-form model railroad benchwork. It's painted Goblin Green (actually had a paint store mix it to match GW's Citadel Paint color!), and affords LOTS of storage underneath the table.
I'll have to post some pics here after I get it back from Sandy!

See Ya!

36 shelves, of which about 10 are dedicated to DF tiles :)

Tim,

I'm not sure what I'm more jealous of; the sit-down table, or the collections of minis and critters!

However, LOTS of white boxes and a FEW square ones, all with a DF label on them, DO help soothe the jealousy raging in the breast.

See ya!

Buggeye,

Your collection is great! My girlfriend thought that I had a large collection, until I showed her the pictures of your collection. Now she thinks my collection is small. Hehe. I live in Japan, so I don't have alot of space. My gaming table is very small. Great pictures!
Thanks!

Tom -

In picture 5, is that you in the back with the striped shoulders, or are you still hiding behind the camera?
In picture 3, I suspect that 'la femme belle' in the photo on the etagere is Mme. Tom; if so, then as far as I can tell, you are as fortunate in your marriage as I am in mine!
This is not to say that I'm one of those 'trolls' that haunt the Internet forums and comment on people. It's just that, although I'm not in law enforcement any more, I still like to know who I'm talking with. So, if I make you uncomfortable, tell me to shut up or go away, and that's exactly what I'll do; shut up - at least about personal stuff.
I'm STILL going to say so when I see another GREAT M. Tom donjon!

See ya!

Jim

PS: When you leave the world of gaming for the last time, if your son doesn't want the game room, I DO!
