Here is my first entry. (Ironically it is my first post of a setup also.)

Notice the use of the Dimension Door to the treasure room. The staircases are connected. The gems in the middle of the floor on the multi level room allow one to teleport to and fro each platform. The door to nowhere causes total blindness so the players will not know they were floating off into the planar void. I hope you guys enjoy this.

The 2 pieces behind the multilevel room are the diagonal wall pieces. Behind those are the 2 diagonal floor pieces with the other 2 purple demonic pillars holding up the backside of the 2nd level. I used every piece from the 3 sets we were allowed to use.

Shadox -- You score high points with me for originality here! Your unique ideas for the "altar" and "portal to nowhere" are pretty cool. You gotta love that treasure room too!

Good luck!

Forgive me, but does that mean we can only use one of each setup or multiple sets over 3, but only only if they are of these 3 items.

Just 1 each of the 3 DoE sets.

The limiations are kind of i think on purpose to give a level playing field so that if you happend to buy 10 of each you can't just win on "wow" factor. have a few sketchs i have been working on i hope to get up this weekend, so i can get my entry in. While i have obviously been to this page i haven't looked at Shadox's closely to hopefully not be inlfunced...

I'm in the same boat -- this needs to be done very carefully.

Sadly, I'm really handicapped with this set. My best ideas involve the others, I'm somewhat at a loss with DoE. Plus, some of my pieces are going to be unusable, as I've customized them. (Though I may use the blood pit of souls -- covered up, it is indistinguishable from a regular piece, so please someone from DF tell me now if it will be disqualified for being altered "under the hood" in a way impossible to tell from the pics I'll be submitting....)

I think there always will be a grey area and we / DF need to use common sense. Your modified blood pit open and with a close up surely will be out of bounds. The blood pit covered or partly covered to just give a glimpse should be fine I guess.

I just had some great ideas for a lay-out. I hope I will be able to try it out on the weekend. My problem - my DOE room set is still in transition as I tried the ultra slow way (via water) to save on shipping. I just hope it will be here in time ...

In the meantime I will have to test my layouts using DF classic pieces.

Shoesan,

When you post your message below the edit box there is a image upload section with a drop down option box. Choose how many pictures you would like to upload. Upload them one at a time by clicking the browse button. The contest allows for 5.

The Crumbling Facade of the Once Mighty Temple of Elemental Evil

The Temple now lies in ruins, blasted and teetering, ready to finally give way and become a heap of cursed gothic stone. But something yet stirs amid the fallen spires of Zuggtmoy's Palace. The once doused flames have been rekindled. At night fleeting half-shadow figures huddle, gather and conspire. A strange book has appeared on the portal steps waiting for new acolytes to learned its damned secrets. At the base of the ruin recently unearthed steps lead down into forgotten levels that everyone prays yet remain empty...
