I really want to buy some Dwarven Forge sets for an upcoming D&D campaign I'm planning, but it seems like everything is rarer than diamonds these days! Does anyone know if there are ANY websites or stores out there that have DF products in stock? If not, any idea when dwarvenforge.com will be re-stocking? All help is appreciated. Thanks!

Fiddy,

When bidding on eBay, the best way to win is to have a fast conenction, wait until 30 seconds before bidding closes, and drop in a bid AT LEAST 10% higher than the current high bid. Since most bidders will set their bids at whatever is the minimum increment for the object, that gives you a fairly decent chance to outbid them and win.
I've pulled in some fairly decent goodies that way; it doesn't ALWAYS work, but usually. Often enough that I use that tactic whenever I see something I really want. :P

Good luck, and good hunting!

Throckmorton,

just order a couple of set of DOE! it's totally boss. LOL

if you're planning on coming up to canada anytime in the next little while there's a great store in richmond b.c. called imperial hobbies that still has a handful of fantasy and a couple SF sets. not that i don't want them all to myself, but with the DOE release, i really won't be able to afford them anytime soon...

also, i hate to mention it here, but mystic blocks is produced in portland and he creates some awesome stuff built from hirst arts. you might be able to avoid some shipping costs.

here's the link for that...

jkratzer - Yes, I myself have done some bid 'sniping' before, but try to avoid it (as it annoys me immensely when it happens to me and for some reason people seem to have an odd fascination with ending their auctions in the middle of the night)... Though actually it happens to me far more often when I'm bidding on the old WEG SW RPG books than on DF stuff. Most interestingly, from time to time I've seen some very cool modified DF on ebay, though the price on those lovely items usually goes too high for my blood.

dudebird - I too have picked up some things from mystic blocks to add some variety to my DF setups. While not a perfect match for DF in terms of color and finish, I like them quite a bit.

Throckmorton - You also may want to try rpgshop.com. It appears that they may have some items in stock.

Also please try knoblenight.com and the Dragonstrove.com both have a few sets and not very high on price " retail I think ". jkratzer,,, I disagree with your ebay aproach. The BEST way to do that on ebay is to REMEMBER that the auction is ending. LOL... I can't remember how many times I forget an auction ends. Oh well, getting old and forgetful....What were we talking about?

Actually, the best tactic on eBay is to bid, when you first see the auction open, your maximum amount you are willing to pay.
That way is if someone else bids the same amount, you were first so you are still the high bidder and possibly the winner.
Just like in combat - those who get there firstest with the mostest - WIN!!
