Mr. Morden, I too, like brvheart and YC, look at admin's comments as a positive that will occur in the future rather than something to whine and complain about.
I would much rather look at the future possibilities than complain about what I do not have right this second.

brvheart, I love the idea of an advanced builder set for Caverns.
Then again I would love a whole passle of additions for this genre.
This is just a genre that has been underpursued in the 3D terrain market.
I sincerely hope they will come out with three more Cavern sets at least: a AB set, a WA set and a river/lake set.
Serious money makers all!

When new Master Maze stuff comes out, I'm getting it. I am not squeamish about admitting that I want it all. I want Underground Lakes and Rivers. I want modular taverns. I want a wizard's room.

But, I'll keep (relatively) quiet until they're ready. Stefan has put out first rate work, and we expect no less of him. So, better a slow release than one that underwhelms.

Look at who's doing the "slapping"...that should be enough to keep you honest in your appraisal (incluing complaints) of DF's decisions.

Courteous complaints are helpful to a company, not bad for it. They allow the owners to know what clients dislike about their products, and allow them to improve.

This is not "whining." It is telling a company what you think their strategy should be and why.

Self-appointed "keepers of morality" be damned.

So I have lost track now really. Are we on for maybe the end of July or will it be more like early fall? Either way is ok, I was hoping that maybe we could put some money down to preorder but I am sure that won't happen. This is going to be tough. I am trying to preorder a few cases of those new D$D mini's " Angel Fire " Hey I wonder if this is just a conicidence that I may have to chose between Den of Evil or Angel Fire????????

Stefan has all his sketches ready to go, and we are waiting on the factory to give us some techinical info. This new set would have some never-before-seen technical manufacturing problems that have to be ironed out BEFORE the sculpting can begin.

I hope to have copies of the sketches at our Origins booth. They look sweet.

I'm guessing that the technical issue is how to make the clear resin end at the edge of the piece instead of having it in pools like we've seen in the past.

Anyway, sign me up for at least two. :)

If the resin to the edge is the problem, plate the edge, I'll suffer with a 1 millimeter line at each edge to make it work.....

Well they may be able to make it on a 6"X6" floor tile and it would be a large pool or small lake with an exit coming out of it.?.

Well - my assumption is that the problem is the 'stickiness' of the current water solution. Currently you have to be careful (at least with my pieces) not to leave non eraseable fingerprints on the water puddles and best not to touch them with you fingers at all as it leaves some marks.

So far it is fine - as the puddles are small - but with a lake piece you don't want to have it stick to anything you place on top of it. Well - we will see. The edges are off course other problems as well.

But it sounds exiting and I hope they will be able to solve the manufacturing problems.

I wonder if we could settle for a large pool in an existing 6" X 6" floor section and have an exit or 3. That way the ends could be stone and what ever sections that intersect with the Room Pieces couls have a river but that would still mean the two ends would be resin all the way up to the ends. Hey Tdaraa, the plate would be fine with me also and you could make the plate the same color to minimize its effect.
