I bet you get one on the way as soon as Stefan reads this :-)

Not sure if this will work, but here is the link I got. Maybe it will work for anyone? Jeff/Stefan - please feel free to delete this post if this is a major faux pas.

If it is helpful, I too found the email filed away under Promotions in Gmail. The link though is the same as what Hareneloot had:

Re:Survey 1 Year ago
I just went through the survey and noticed an error:

The listing for the Advanced Builder Set shows the pieces (and lists the ones) from the ABS 2 set.

As both are out of stock, I'm not sure if the name is wrong, if the pictures/pieces are wrong, of if both are supposed to be in the survey.

I also had a hard time with the cavern stuff, as it would depend a lot on what the cavern KS showed. It would potentially sway me to get more basic cavern, or more passages, or possibly neither of those and more "accessories" (like the Chasm) for instance.

I would like for somebody to copy the information and new suggested prices of the product on the survey then post the information here in this post for record as I did the survey quickly and didn't write that stuff down myself.

Re:Survey 1 Year ago
I was slightly worried about the wording, as well, because there are a lot of things I know I still want (and plan on buying,) but they have simply not been there for me to order.

Since the DF KS I was on eBay and actually wound up purchasing 5 sets, simply so I had something I could use to introduce my gaming group to DF, before my sets of game tiles came in, and I knew what I was buying would be able to supplement all of it. I hated not being able to give some more money directly to DF, but a LOT of stuff has been out of stock for a very long time.

With all that being said, as a resin owner, I ask you all a very serious question, to new owners, and old collectors alike:

With Game tiles being the "Basic Building Blocks" we ALL need and ALL have a use for (unless you are sci-fi only,) would you EVER buy a more expensive resin set of them again?

That was something I didn't even need to think about or waver on: No. I have zero intention of buying any more of them. I already have 2 resin R&P sets, and bought 5 sets of Game Tiles. I would rather have more variety.

It has always been my personal feeling that if something can be produced for less cost (to both the company AND the consumer) and retain the level of quality, then it should be done. Also, there is a factor of weight and ease of transportation to consider, which, Dwarvenite seems to lend itself more to.

Now, with more "advanced" sculpts, I don't know that the level of quality would ever be that high on a set that isn't resin, but based on the fact that they said 1 or 2 new resin sets a year would still be appearing, I have faith that DF will continue their resin lines, and supplement their existing product as they see as best for everyone involved.

Yes! would buy resin again (or for the first time in the case of the more 'basic' sets). Much like the other customer earlier in this thread "my understanding that the purpose of the kickstarter was to raise capital for resin orders. I certainly didn't contribute to Dwarvenite GameTiles to see them replace Resin MasterMaze!"

In fact I bought Game Tiles specifically so that the resin would be restocked and I would have a chance to buy it. I had no idea that might not happen, or that if it did happen it might not include sets for new customers like myself ( i.e. 'basic' sets like caverns).

I'll be buying the Catacombs II and most likely the Sewers sets when they come out. You keep making cool stuff I'll buy it. Simple as.

Long term, I suspect that for DF to survive, they will need to move to a home manufactured product in dwarvenite and do limited runs of pre ordered painted sets. The resin stuff is going to gradually get more and more expensive until the expected sell runs becoem so small they are uneconomical.

I know that's not what people want to hear (myself included) but if they don't make money the company folds......

Sir William,

Looks like the resin Cavern sets will be held off till after the Kickstarter for Caverns.....it takes up SO much room in a container...so we are probably going for Wicked 1 and 2 instead....among other stuff....Realm of Ancients will probably be in there too....not 100% sure yet....

I had a long non-blunt post then I lost it.

So here is a short blunt version.

Full steam ahead will Dwarvenite.

Dwarvenite KS's every 6 months.

Let resin be for things that can not be made in Dwarvenite.

I think this is probably the wisest approach. Is there any chance you'll be able to let us know if this order has the last run of LE sets like Realm of the Ancients, or if there will be more in future orders? It would be really useful to know whether a given set will be available again, or if what you get in stock is the last of it.

Simple answer: yes.

Longer answer: I doubt that DF will ever make the specialized pieces that are part of the ABS & ABS2 sets in Dwarvenite. Once you start building lots of dungeons you will find yourself coveting many of those ABS/ABS2 pieces - there is sometimes no way around using them to make the exact set-up you want.

Re:Survey 1 Year ago
Absolutely.

As it stands right now, resin sets seem able to have more unique pieces, meaning that they will have more variety for detailed and differentiated set-ups.

The first kickstarter has many of the same pieces as classic dungeon MM, but the style is stone blocks rather than rounded stones -- meaning that the two aren't quite the same. There will some customers who prefer one or the other aesthetically, and are willing to pay a higher price if it happens to be the resin set.

And at least for a while yet, there are customers who have been buying resin sets who would like buy more sets to "finish" their collections, rather than sell it all on E-Bay and start over with GameTiles.
