Hi all,

Believe it or not, I have just woken up from my hibernation since Gen Con....please don't think I was ignoring you guys:)

The rumors are true, none other than the esteemed Sandra Garrity is working on the Wood Elves environment...actually, we want it to be seen as something universal for many types of Woodland Inhabitants, not just Elves....perhaps Druids, or Werebears, or Owlbears, or any sort of woodland creature/s maybe even a magically created fortress to protect the adventurer's? Or an Enchanted Grove where the sleeping princess rests waiting for the true Knight?

I think there could be lots of uses for an imaginative DM here...

That being said, we are not ignoring our other responsabilities either...as was spied by the watchers at Gen Con, we have been working on the Wicked Edition 3 Set! I've gotta tell you, it's the best Wicked Edition yet! We hope to have it available by Christmas! Jeff should post some pics in October...

Hellscape 2 is what I am working on now, as well as some other Sandy Garrity goodies for the Realm of Ancients...these will probably be ready for the Spring...

Thanks everyone for the great Year! It has been very difficult for me on a personal level, having had a 300ft tall crane drop on our house, and going through a long Divorce, but I now see light at the end of the passageway.....
Thanks All!

Ouch - sorry to hear about the divorce Stefan.

Great news all around! If Stefan is excited about the Elven Outdoor stuff, then I am too!! And a WA3 set is what I've been waiting for for years!!! Just what the classic line needed - huzzah!!!

Lots of other good news too - many yummy things to look forward to!

Thanks for the update!

Very excited for all the new stuff coming out! I'm glad to hear there's an outdoor environment in particular- I always have to go back to my horrible art skills on a dry erase mat for that. Pretty bland when the rest of the time my players are exploring your beautifully crafted dungeons and caverns! Now I just gotta save my pennies to a)keep up with the new stuff and b)catch up on the old stuff. Think I'll buy a lotto ticket on my way home...

And sorry to hear about your personal troubles- hope it all works out for the best.

I'd just like to throw in my hat into the ring of excitement about the future. Wow...DF and Sandra Garrity now that is something I just cannot wait to see. WE3 out by Christmas, and the Ruins set out by my birthday. Someone is smiling on me this year. :]

Sorry to hear of your tough year Stefan, hope all is and will be well.

I'm SUPER excited about the upcoming sets you're working on. Any chance the wilderness one will have elevation aspects? Nothing like elevated hills/ridges/cliffs to battle upon/over! :)

PS: I've always felt DF Fantasy could greatly use a set that aids vertical building. something that could be easy to set up balconies, overhangs, pits, etc. maybe something in WE3 will have this! :p

Thanks for all the info Stefan.

I am sorry to hear about all the trouble you have been going through this last year and I sincerely hope the rest of this year will turn out better.

I really hope this wilderness environment is going to knock my feet off, but working for a certain company, I am used to a high standard of outdoor scenery and thus my standard there is really high.
What other DF stuff did Sandra Garrity sculpt so far for DF? Is there anything I might take a look at until we get some nice new pictures?

Concerning the news on all the other sets I am really excited about them, too. I really look forward to WA 3. The upcoming RotA set though needs some really cool parts in it to arouse my interest since it's interior design though spectacular is too specific (in lack of another word) to use it too frequently.

Just out of curiosity: What is everyone's favourite set at the moment? Last thing I received was ABS 2 and I have to say I love it. Can't stop myself from experimenting with it.

Interesting thing is that you all read things in stefans post that are not there.

He didn't say that there is an Outdoor set...

It is a Woodland Elven Environment set, that could also be the interior of an elven house
or whatever (an overgrown elven wood structure etc.)

Hope for the best. And looking mainly forward to ABS 3.

He says Wicked Additions 3, not ABS 3.

An "enchanted grove" sounds fairly "outdoor environment" to me...

I await the various sets with worm on tongue.

Well, we really haven't set on a proper name yet, but for now...the "Wood Elf" environment is sort of an indoor Set that would probably be in an outdoor environment...although, that would depend on how one builds it of course...

It is not a landscape Set...that is something we might do some other day...along with a medieval street set...

Medieval street set (along with some roofs) would be so great that I'm already setting money aside just at the mention.
