Re:Priorities 4 Years, 5 Months ago
After tinkering around with the bits and pieces in my collection, I've decided I'd really love to see a mine set from DF.

It could include tracks (modular tracks with straight pieces, curved pieces, T-intersections, cross-intersections) - either embedded in floor pieces or as separate terrain, though the former would be easier to use, more stable, and more unique given the easy availability of model railroad track. Ideally, they'd really stand out as fantasy mining track, not railroad track -- maybe a little ramshackle, etc.

Also walls with wooden bracings for support (again, loose or embedded in the walls themselves, with the latter being easier to use and more stable, but the former of course affords more flexibility)

Also things like mining carts, mining equipment, light sources... Also, maybe, an elevator! Oooh, that'd be cool.

I think a mine set could be awesome...

And a DF Mine Set would be a great opportunity to reprint the ramp piece (or something similar) from Traps Set 1. (hint, hint) :-)

Im glad that im not the only one that likes the idea of a mine. To me a mine set is that Something between the cavern set and the dungon rooms and passages. It would mesh well with both sets and Still look strikeing on its own. every time I look at the caved in dead end peice I wonder how cool a worked mine would look in DF. I think walls of worked earth and supports would be more stable and add to the look of the walls as a whole.
Another peice idea maybe a fresh mine shaft peice mostly looking like a cavern peice but being carved out 1/4 of the way to worked stone ?

Before going down on something "new" like the elven set, the sewer set etc, I think there are necessary critical updates :

-> hellscape 2 since the hellscape set is totally useless alone and possibilities even with severa sets are very very limited.

-> a ROTA new set including long passages, secret doors, single doors, statues, a chasm etc

-> a DOE 4 with long corridors, secret passages (none for this set what a shame !), a entrance or new archways, traps, special doors, magic portals etc

-> a pack of shutters for the windows (medieval but also classic dunjeon)

I agree with HQF. Nice to see new sets, but there are some *holes* in older sets I'd love to see filled as well....

I think a sewer set could be done as a wicked additions type set for the classic dungeon line.

Some of you should be pretty happy in the coming year. We have lots of sets in the works, but I can't say anything specific yet. Sometimes sets get pulled at the last minute.

Rest assured that we listen to your feedback and plan our sets accordingly.

I can say that we are working with Sandra Garrity to make a cool Elven Set which should be out in the Fall.

More pics when we have the painted factory samples in hand. Thanks for your patience.
