WHAT TO MAKE FOR WICKED 3 FANTASY SET? 5 Years, 1 Month ago
We are starting our designs for a Wicked Additions 3 Set! Please give us your suggestions!
Probably will be released a year from now.

Some ideas already slotted are:

Massive Double doors (wider and higher)
Doors of various kinds, (wider than the narrow ones in ABS2)
1" x 1" floor square piece (requested to compliment ABS2)
Large sized Pillars, around 2"-3" thick!

Maybe's:

Gothic style windows
Fountain (freestanding)
Walls with bars
Fancy Altar

Personally I would like to see:
1). Stairs similar in fashion that come with the Realm of the Ancients set.
2). Rubble Piles similar to RoA
3). A entrance from the outside....
4). A half diagonal wall (Jackattack did up some drawings) So picture the current diagonal wall and cut that in half.
5). This half a diagonal passage way would also work nicely.
6). 6 inch Corridor with places for statues or similar things in the side. My mind is drawing a blank on the exact word but burial site. Perhaps three or two space up the side of the wall every inch and half. This could be a narrow passage way but the same width as a normal passage way to accommodate the recessed area.

I am sure there are more.

Actually there is another but not sure if it would be a good one.
A conversion piece to match up a passage way and a room piece at the edge. There is usually a good gap there.

Sean

Plus of course everything you mentioned....

That all sounds AWESOME Stefan!

Totally psyched for some more original MM love!

I'd like to see, in addition:

1. Diagonal wall and floor tiles (maybe just two of each? are they even in any set currently produced right now?)
2. all your maybe's!!!
3. a 6" corridor with an opening/doorway in the middle of it (like the bricked up one without the bricks?)
4. whatever L comes up with!

SLIME PIT!!
Floor tile with trapdoor. Without an easily lost separate lid piece & Wall piece with attached rungs
Bookcase (I know, furniture, but it is so widely useful unless your playing an authentic ancient period game or something...)
Damaged wall sections
Classic dungeon style rubble like the ROTA rubble
Cave transition piece (such as a damaged wall section)

1. Intersections in the RotA fashion for classic
2 & 3. 'nother vote for RotA2 small & curved stair styles
4. 6" corridor with double opposing openings
5. 6x4 Rectangular floors in "plain floor" style
6. 2x2 Walls of heavy Bars / grates
7. 2x6 long walls of heavy bars / grates
8. 2x2 fantasy wells/pits (recast the SF tube pieces) perhaps a bucket/winch or tripod to place over it.
9 & 10. 2x4 and/or 2x6 long floor plates/sections either full thickness or as thick as the removeable plates from the SF large floors for raised balconies, catwalks, etc (especially combined with MBS railings)

The word is "catacombs"
and yes, in 6" and 2" corridors, as well as 2x2 and 2x6 wall sections. Just carve the wall faces with 2-3 high bodyslots per 2' section, some occupied, some not. Verticals are an option as well 1 body-niche per inch.

Stefan,

My preference would be for (although not limited to) the following:

Doors, (double, iron and stone/magical).

Gothic windows

A few barred, prison pieces

A MM 2" tunnel passage piece with a lever on the wall

A single, small/thin (one-sided) drawbridge, the type that would be found along a passageway within a tower, dungeon or cavernous complex.

Oh, and a single sewer grate piece to potentially transition MM passages to the water sets.

As for pillars and altars, I would hope that those may be included later on in (one or two) more complete (and multiple) themed sets that would include 1/2, 1/4 and over sized pillars that could enhance the interiors of existing MM, DOE & other rooms. For themes I am thinking Dragons, Dwarven, Serpents, Knightly, Angelic, Ghoulish, ancient etc.

I am just imagining dwarven pillars, or knightly figures being featured prominently throughout any type of DF setup. Although they would contain mostly smaller pieces, they would still require dedicated sets due to the sheer number of pieces involved.

Glad to hear that the MM line is potentially getting a new set.

Thanks

Steve

4. whatever L comes up with!
Heh heh heh! Well, since you asked....

I love the ideas that people have been suggesting. I'd really love to see the "maybes" on your list, Stefan -- a free-standing fountain and gothic windows both would be really awesome.

One other thing that's been suggested elsewhere is to make something like the ROTA intersection/room/corridor pieces for the dungeon setting. The wall design might be trickier with the thicker walls of the dungeon, but I think it would be great to see.

I think that one of the best parts of the DoE are the columns in the walls, and one of the best parts of ROTA is the sun motif. I'd love to see something similar for the dungeons -- columns built into the walls, a fresco of some kind, leering gargoyles or some other kind of statues built into the walls or frescoes similar in concept to the sun in the ROTA set.

So many more possibilities... sewer pieces, ruined pieces, acid pit.... I need time to think! Too many cool possibilities...

I'd have to throw in a vote for the Gothic Windows. It seems to be one very unexplored idea besides the medieval building set. The classic dungeon needs some 'light' to be able to make some assorted keep/castle floors. It might not even be a bad idea to see some half walls with crenelations to build some tower tops for some later on sets......my 2 cents.

Hi there!

Here comes some preferences:

1) About doors, I would like to see standard sized in iron, another with runes, another door simple 'jail' made of iron bars type, and a classic, the one with a little window with bars on it . Also double doors double size of course.

2) Single Wall with lever please, and 2"x2" floor with big lever on it.

3) Force fields doors / dimensional doors as the ones in the sci-fi sets.

4) Long wall with heroic legend engraved in stone (warriors, sorcerers, dragons and gods would be coooool).

5) Sewers trapdoor (you know, round metallic).

6) 6" long Wall Alchemical Laboratory, with pipes, cristal containers with strange fluids of colors inside, workbench, etc (the equivalent of walls with computer consoles in sci-fi).

7) Walls with big alcobes full of skulls.

8) Another classic: Single Dungeon wall with some kind of gap with bars at floor height, semi-circular (hope I've explained this correct).

9) I've always thought that it would be freakin' cool some kind of add-on to put over 2" of gap between 2 dungeon walls with several motifs so you could put one of those instead of a door, creating some kind of "entrance" or arch. it could be dragon heads, giant skulls, fresco, runic archs, etc. They would not be too big so you could add a ton different of them (I wish!) on a set.

I better stop here, if I keep going on I will never stop... :-)

Greetings,
arsthein
