I'm going to come out against the free-standing fountain. You can get them pre-painted from MBA and unpainted from lots of places AND we already have a beautiful DF fountain piece.
I tend to disagree with the statement made by Harneloot...I want all my pieces/sets made by DF because the quality is unmatched and the transition between sets is almost seemless.

However, I think themed and/or generic "DUNGEON ACCESSORIES" set(s) would be a good way to go for getting a lot of the pieces we're all asking for. Double doors, arches, windows, stairs, fountains, wizard/alchemist lab, bookshelves, fireplace, dungeon entrance(s), floor spikes, wall spikes, city walls...etc, etc...

What do YOU think?

I'm good with Wicked Additions being somewhat random. That seems to be their function, to fill in the small gaps that can be satisfied by one or two pieces per.

For gaps that require lots of pieces to cover many functions, we have sets like Narrow Passages. For radical changes in layout, we have ABS.

Themed sets would also be welcome. We've had them before, sort of, with Traps. For one person's take on themed sets, Search for threads with the word "Rooms" in the title.

As a second choice, I'll take sewers.

To me, Wicked Additions is about the eye candy. So, I second the suggestions on archways, barred/prison walls, rubble piles, and a long wall piece with a heroic carving. I'm not big on the fountain or altar, because there are a lot of those out there already.

Some other suggestions:

- A collection of interesting 2x2 floors - grating, firepit, wooden trap door, pool. Kind of a mini fantasy floors set.

- Wall pieces with small magnets embedded (I'm building some of these myself). Supply a collection of accessories with metal backings, so you can build your own decorated wall. Suggested accessories are levers, trophy heads, tapestries, reliefs, paintings, mirrors, torches, shelves, shields, etc. Plus, it would be easy to make more of own.

- Make sure the big blocks are the same heights as the walls so they can be used to help build second stories

(I JUST RE-READ THIS 10-08-09 1:15PM AND IT WAS INCOMPREHENSIBLE, NOW HEAVILY EDITED)

COLLAPSED WALL PIECE - Similar to the half wall pieces in ABS1, but instead of the wall ending by design, make it appear as if collapsed/destroyed. The pieces would have to be complimentary (like those in ABS1, left side/right side) and would be extremely useful and versatile. Using these two pieces could create an opening (of various sizes) leading into another room and would make a great transition into a cavern. Several of these pieces could be used to make small ruined buildings, a gaping hole in a large building, or ruined walls within a room. They would add serious weathering/destruction to our dungeons. This idea may also work in the size equivalent of the half wall pieces (found in ABS1 & ABS2). Though the collapse would not be as gradual, the smaller sized pieces would be more versatile.

DOORS - I'm very happy about new doors. It sounds like you're describing a set of massive double doors twice as wide as the "classic" DF door. I also think double doors equivalent in width to the classic DF door (2" true / 10' scale) would be invaluable. 10' wide double doors are all over the place in the classic modules. What about a door between the size of the normal and narrow ones we have now? During building there are many places that are too small for classic doors and too large for the narrow ones. These mid-sized doors may also be designed to make the visual differences between the classic DF doors and the narrow doors appear less apparent.

GOTHIC WINDOWS and 1" X 1" FLOOR PIECES - Excellent.

I also like BrettKing's magnet idea above. The idea is great for versatility, but I don't know if it's possible as far as production/costs (I have no idea though). The accessories would have to have magnets in them, which adds another difficulty. Though the idea is very good as far as versatility. Walls with small holes in them for accessories that can be attached (lever, torch, trophy head, etc.) may work nearly as well. This may work better as its own set as several wall accessories in a box similar to the dungeon accessories and treasure sets. It may still be a production issue, I don't know if holes like this in resin would work, but the general idea is great.

We are starting our designs for a Wicked Additions 3 Set! Please give us your suggestions!
Probably will be released a year from now.

Some ideas already slotted are:

Massive Double doors (wider and higher)
Doors of various kinds, (wider than the narrow ones in ABS2)
1" x 1" floor square piece (requested to compliment ABS2)
Large sized Pillars, around 2"-3" thick!

Maybe's:

Gothic style windows
Fountain (freestanding)
Walls with bars
Fancy Altar

Stefan, I like your ideas of the Maybe's for the set, even better than the ideas already slotted. As the maybe's will give DF set ups themes to work with.

I love blairb's idea for a damaged wall section with cavernous transition behind it. Also several folks have mentioned sewer grates. Be really useful to have some kind of cavernous water transition piece too. Like a 6" corridor that transitions into a watery cavernous passage?

Anything new is great for me. I am particularly interested in pieces that can make the MM sets more "above ground" friendly, so I can make houses, churches, workshops, etc. for village set-ups. So the Gothic windows and prison pieces sound especially good.

I also envision being able to set up a town square with the 6x6 floor pieces (or something similar) so outdoor accessories that would fit there would be neat -- maybe a well (instead of a fountain) since that could also be found in a dungeon. A bonfire piece could be very cool too, since that could be found both above or below ground

I'm not that interested in a full sewer set myself, but a transition piece or two to connect MM and Rivers set would be very cool (grate in the floor or something similar).

Two 2" Straight Walls with gargoyles on perches, and one 2" Straight Wall with just the perch and no gargoyle.

GMs can frame a door with two gargoyles, then swap out an occupied piece for the empty piece when the players aren't looking. Or they can put all three pieces on the same wall (or alone in different spots in their set-up) and make players wonder where the third gargoyle went.

Bonus if we get a gargoyle mini to go with.

Oh, or round, half-height pedestals (maybe 1.25" diameter) to put statues on.

By statues, I mean minis on round 1" bases, that we paint to look like metal or stone. The short pedestals mark them as sculpture, and help tie them together as elements of the environment rather than NPCs/monsters.

This is all great stuff! The problem will be determining what to include in a set that can be affordable and exciting...a mix of large and small pieces both useful and also kool looking...we have enough for two or three sets I think.....thanks so much everyone, keep the ideas coming there is still a few weeks for design stage...

I usually like to have a pretty big bunch of the same small pieces in one set, but in a set like this if you include one pice in each set I would rather take 2 or 3 sets! :-) that way it would be possible to include a lot of different items in one release.
