Hi everybody,

I've just discoverd Dwarven Forge, and i must say i'm very impressed with the product. I would really like to order something, so I was wondering what is the best way to buy my own dungeon. Should i order on this website, or is there a good online shop in the European union where I can buy your product so I don't have to bother with the high customs costs? Should I buy as much as possible in one buy, or should I buy loose packages to avoid import taxes (up to 150 euros (about 185 dollars) can be imported tax free, but I still have to pay the btw (i think it is called the VAT in the US) of 19%). I hope someone could advise me!

With kind regards,

Crimlock

As of a few years ago DF is only for sale from the website. There has been talk of trying to get a European distrubutor, but nothing has panned out, section (ask dwarven forge) there are some Germans, French, Spainish and Brits who talk about some of the same questions. Some of these may help.General Shipping Question and International fees

Hi Crimlock,

if you plan on buying a lot of sets, say about 800$ or even more than order directly from DF. If you just want to buy a single set then try to order together with other people. Once it is in europe the shipping cost is most of the time cheaper then ordering directly. I've done on several occasions - drop me a line if you want to know more.

One last thing: The 150,– € without tax are of no convern here, because normally you do not pay _taxes_ on DF products, just the local btw on all products (in Germany this is Einfuhrumsatzsteuer). DF stuff is stated as parlour games and this normally is tax free - but do not let you local tax officer state it as hobby model builder accessories or something like that, that will cost you dearly ;-)

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm also trying to import stuff using a local gamestore who does some importing. I'm trying to figure out what works best for what I want to buy.
