TOPIC: Back Orders

Back Orders 7 Years, 4 Months ago
Heh Guys!

I just ordered a stack of Dwarvenforge stuff for Australia but some of the key collections I wanted were out of stock. Unfortunately, all of my attempts to email Dwarvenforge have gone unresponded to so far. I hope this means they are just too busy fixing up those backorders...

Does anyone have any idea when or if they will restock items such as:

Deluxe Room Set SKU: MM-009
Wicked Additions #2 Set SKU: MM-011
Advanced Builder Set SKU: MM-017

Cheers,
Cawdorthane

This is a question that seems to come up every now and then.
Not to whine, but when is anything going to be back in stock? and out of stock items

In that one
We should have a list of re-orders posted by May 1st. We would love to carry everything in stock, put there simply can't tie up a lot of our capital in older stock. We would not have any money left to bring new sets to the market. There are, unfortunately, pretty steep re-order minimums that have to be obeyed.
There was some delays so that May 1st is some time soon (they are in the process i believe of working it out now)

How did you manage to get a backorder? I didn't think it was possible to place an order through the webpage if it was out of stock.
When did you e-mail them they are typically pretty quick to respond, a few working days is the longest i have had to wait.

They later said "June 1st" as the day they'd post an update of what this next shipment will bring back in stock...

Okay...we are almost there. The last minute fix on the Cavernous Lake Expansion Set has delayed the listing another week or so. Once everything is officially "official" I can post restocks.

Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for the helpful responses everyone. I will keep my browser electronically glued to the Dwarvenforge web site!

And thanks for the welcome too, Lupus [I live in Melbourne by the way].

Ghenghis, my crack about back-orders was my poor attempt at humour , but perhaps Dwarvenforge might want to think about adding such a facility to the web site - hint, hint ;-}
....

Cheers,

Blast, used to be a Melbourne boy. but moved up to sunny qld a while back now :)

Tis a pity, otherwise it would have been great to be able to share orders/split shipping costs :) Ah well, them's the breaks :D

lupus, cawdorthane;

Since I'm a hopeless Yank (remembe, I AM the Mad Yank!), I have no idea of the distance between Melbourne and Queensland. But I can't help wonder, is it THAT far a weekend jaunt to somewhere in the middle wouldn't work? Think of it as a challenge to consolidate your order, and your shipping costs. And probably your Customs fees.

Just an idea. Be creative!

Jim,
hehehe its about 1000km in between the two places :)

logical mid point to the trip would be Sydney.......which by my calculation is about 14 or so hours drive south for me and about 9 hours north for cawdorthane.

truly, its a matter more of shipping costs rather than customs. One thing that is great for us is that customs doesn't truly kick in until we order over $ 1000 worth of stuff, which if I can afford in one hit, I deserve the customs tag :)

but on the flip side, it is good to see more aussies on the site :) perhaps we will gradually grow to warrant a local distributor. hmmm should ask what it takes to become a distributor :)

lupus,

Now THERE'S an idea that might mean some profit for you and DF!
AND, it might be something for some Euro-folks to investigate, as well!

Hint, hint, hint...
